I think what stands out most in both of Ratliff's TD passes that day was just how frickin' wide open David Clowney was each time. It's a goddamn shame he wasn't used more in the season to stretch the field. He's obviously got the speed for it.
I don't know who Ratcliff is. Ratliff is a different story. If they are on the team, it'd be nice for the fans to spell it right. If you don't know the spelling, look it up on the 5000000 different sites that the names are on.
Mike Francessa mentioned Ratliff yesterday and said the inside scoop is the Jets organization is high on the guy, that "there's a lot of talk about Ratliff and his abilities."
Sounds about right!! the guys come out of a no named school then get some time in a transferred school and come to the nfl and blow up...
He has a smooth throwing motion and has increased his accuracy tremendously from college. He has a strong arm (nowhere near Cutler but strong enough). Ratliff has excellent pocket presence and moves around in the pocket well. Not a scrambler. Doesn't get much depth on his drops due to inexperience in taking snaps under center as opposed to in shotgun (ran spread in college), but this will correct over time, especially with actual game reps. From limited observation in the preseason he makes good decisions and has excellent accuracy on his touch passes. He perfectly looped quite a few passes over the heads of linebackers this preseason.
