I assume it was a run blitz but it's funny, I saw Elam creeping up and could see there wasn't anyone there then when he dropped back to pass I was just yelling strip the ball and luckily he got him. Great call, great execution. The D wasn't nearly as bad as everyone is mkaing them out to be. The rush D was bad but the passs D was alot better. Losman made alot of great throws against good coverage until he started turning it over. The D was also put in bad spots all day by our O and STs. It would have been nice if they could have stopped Buf a time or 2 after a bad sequence by our O or STs but they were put in bad spots and they saved the day for us as our inept O couldn't do anything against that vaunted Bills D in the 2nd half.
Total luck...I found out Sutton spins a wheel and whatever it lands on he calls. It just so happened it landed on "blitz".
Ha - this Ellis video has a great title. Watch it before the NFL Nazis pull it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lu1Eqn0T16w
I also think luck; Sutton with the blitz is like wheel of fortune for the million dollar space. For the record; I do not look at W of F. It is usually on when I get home from work and wife happens to have it on; that's the best excuse I can come up with on short notice.
I'm still amazed Sutton finally called a blitz. Maybe now he understands that blitzes can be good, especially when you don't have the safety starting from 30 yards off the LOS.
Combo. On the post game at least three different players said they were aware of Buffalo's tendency in that spot
