The biggest difference between then and now is how healthy Fitz has stayed throughout the season. In Buffalo he was battered and bruised (52 sacks, most in the NFL). He entered the 2nd half of his seasons there beat up. Plus, he was asked to do much more in Buffalo than he's asked to do in NY. Plus in Buffalo, he'd have to play the Jets twice a year. In NY, he gets to play the Bills.
I cannot stand when people make this argument. I could understand it sometimes if there are unforced errors or there is some giant blunder or mistake (like choosing to kick in overtime) but that was not the case in that game. Are you really going to give zero credit to the bills? They ran the ball right down the Jets throat all game long, which really no one has been able to really do on the jets over the last 6+ years. Even at the end of the game when it mattered most. McCoy averaged 6 yards a carry right into the heart of the jets defense. The bills forced Fitz into 2 interceptions and Gilmore held Marshall to 3 catches for 23 yards (what other corner has done that to Marshall this year?). They literally ripped the ball out of Ivory's hands which was a great play, and the gunner made a textbook punch to get the ball out on the way down. Another nice play. Come on man, give credit where it is due. I agree that this one could be a blowout win.
Thanks, I was just going to answer when I saw your response which is the same list I would have given.
You're probably right. Since I usually don't watch those football shows, it won't really hurt me. I agree with all of this except your last sentence. God doesn't hate you, nor does he/she hate the Jets.
I expect cheap shots and late hits a plenty from Rex's boys. Can't wait to curb stomp that fucking team.
if your little heart desires credit for a bills victory theres a place to find it - some loser bills message board. there you can feel all warm and fuzzy about the earlier victory over the Jets. This is a Jets message board
Had to like this interview with Rex: "I think we got a great thing going here," Ryan told WGR radio in Buffalo on Monday, via ESPN.com's Mike Rodak. "We just didn't produce the wins I thought we would. "The thing that kind of gives this team a black eye when we're looking at it is that I let my mouth get ahead of everything. And I think if I would have come in there and just said, 'Hey, we're gonna compete,' and do all that stuff, maybe we wouldn't have such a bad feeling about this team. "This team doesn't deserve that. This team has fought, and they've played extremely hard. We've had a lot of things happen this year where we've felt, where we've came up short. There's no question about it. But I think I could have handled it differently."
He said the same shit in '11 after the Giant game when he said Darrelle told him to STFU already.....That guy just doesn't have the humility to learn from his mistakes and change. He just comes up with braggadocio or the lame humiliated sad sack routine...oh, and he's full shit too half the time
rex reminds me of that fat slob friend everyone has that always talks about how they're going to get in shape but never does.
So this is the place to come for biased and illogical homerism? I thought there could be objective and intelligent conversation. But if you are incapable, well, ok then.
Rex in the lab right now cooking up something nasty. It must pains him to see how good the jets are doing. Especially after beating the patriots. Sent from my LG-LS720 using Tapatalk
