Template for the defense of Rex Ryan What do you expect him to say? He's just taking responsibility for the loss. That's the sign that he's a true leader, he is taking the target off of his team's back and putting it on his own. He's still learning, and pretty soon he'll be a more complete head coach. It's not his fault that [insert GM name] saddled him with [insert player names]. He had no control of the roster, he just makes the best of what he is given. Once he is given a complete team, he'll probably win multiple Super Bowls. We're moving in the right direction, this franchise finally has hope! Rinse, repeat for 6 years.
The defensive guru still hasn't figured out how to defend anything over the middle. It's astounding. Their D actually looks worse than it did with Marrone.

There's no reason to "eat him up." We played with half our team missing today. No Sammy Watkins, LeSean McCoy, Cordy Glenn, John Miller, Aaron Williams, Leodis McKelvin, Marquise Goodwin, etc. What do you expect with a bunch of backups in?

Eat him up doesn't mean criticize, eat him up means buy into his bullshit. It seems by his reaction that they were rightly calling him out on his undisciplined team, a staple of the Rex Ryan era, instead of going all rah rah with him.
TC has his number but good. TC is a great HC, he really is. Rex can't shine his shoes....and it kills Rex...kills him. In the end all Rex has is his bluster
