This meathead told reporters that he wasn't out on the field during warm ups because "he didn't want it to be about him" But he runs out on the field by himself like he's Mike Fucking Tyson coming into a fight. It screams of "Look at me!" I was never a Rex fan, but I was always surprised at the level of hate other teams had for us when he was here. Now I get it. They will implode. No question. He always does.
Everyone will remember why they started to dislike Rex when they get blown out by New England in a week and a half. I don't think last nights game made me miss Rex Ryan. We are not in a vacuum, and there are other choices than Rex and Todd Bowles. I was impressed with Bowles early on, but some of his decisions have been awful lately. How do you not score any points on 2nd down and 2 from what I remember being around the 10 yard line. Brutal, just brutal.
i have no issues with rex. he was great for us. he never had the qb and the last year the team was complete trash. i dont think there was 1 season he was here were we should have won more... and we had no business going to the AFc champiojnship game twice with mark sanchez as our qb i dont care about all the trash talk and emotion. thats who he is. its not fake stuff. his teams play hard for him, i respect that
EVERYTHING gets worn out when you stop winning. quiet guys like bowles are "workman like, get their message across without yelling, discipline" when they win. when they lose they are stoic, unresponsive, passionless. disciplinarians like parcells or coughlin are togh, get their guys playing tough, keep players in line when they win. when they lose the "players tune them out" their "tough guy antics" dont work on todays players, etc there is no approach that works or doesnt work. its all about connecting with your guys, keeping them focused and playing hard and getting them to execute. rexs way works. bowles way works. couglins way works. and all 3 of those guys will get trashed for their approach the second they arent winning
