Hopefully the Jets aren't thinking and talking like me and JJ - we're already analyzing the Titans game.
Myself I am al little nervous about the game sunday but that could be just because there the Jets and anything is possible. After the win on Sunday I saw a thread on Monday how the win vs the Bills could revert back to a 98 type season, and I looked at the 98 Schedule and found two big road wins that year, in NE on monday nite which resulted in a 4 game winning streak or something like that, this past game has kind of the same feeling.
This has the potential to be a Same Old Jets game but I don't think it's going to be. One aspect that people don't realize about the Chefs game was that they made an adjustment to the offense with Thigpen running more of a spread as opposed what they done in previous weeks. St Louis won't be making any adjustments but the Avery/Lowrey matchup does have me a little nervous because Revis will shut down an aging Holt and with no SJ I can't see Richie Incognito beating Jenkins in any sort of fashion that would allow them to have a successful rushing attack.
Here's some funny stuff that fits in perfectly with this thread. A STRONG WHIFF OF FRISKINESS 11. New York Jets Really nice win in Buffalo this past Sunday. The Jets appear to be rounding into … something. Of course, if you e-mail this to Jets fans, they will send back one of the three following responses: A. "Stop it. We suck. Why are you trying to make me mad?" B. "Favre is roping everyone in. It's all part of his master plan. I am already holding my ankles." C. "Great, we can lose in the first round and get a bad draft pick! Yes! Sign me up!" http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=simmons/081107
if the jets win this game big, im talking like 38-10 i think we go on a win streak. most will laugh at me, even call me a fool. if we win this game big i think we go to ne and win then beat the titans, i think favre plays huge the next 3 games.
I'd like to win an easy one but I don't think margin will mean much next Thursday at NE. We ened to find a way to win(hopefully comfortable) and get a W 4 days later at NE. If we do that we are winning this division and have a chance to do some real damage in January.
Actually NE has that same pressure, even more to win their next two with a short week. They have 2 home games which help however. The thing is they aren't getting better they are getting worse.
Anyone who has followed this team should recognize that this game has "Same Old Jets" written all over it. Winning games like this one will make people believers. Anyone who is confident they will win isn't paying attention to this franchise's history.
I kinda agree that this game can get scary but STL is more of a team who takes pts off of turnovers as opposed to going out and destroying defenses. But thats the one major drawback with having a semi-light schedule, your the favorite in many games and your expected to win games and when you dont you are upset. However when the underdog like we were for the 1st time in Buffalo, you tell yourself it'd be nice to win the game but its not fully expected so when the team does win you go nuts. After this, next 2 games we are for sure underdogs so I think this will change the way Jet fans look. Yes most Jet fans will want NE down because they are hated and they are fighting for the division title with us but you also know that NE isnt easy at all so if you lose, you will be disappointed and maybe angry but not frustrated like the game with Oakland. Same with TEN pretty much only its not as important for the AFC East race.
a loss tomorrow and it completely nullifies the beauty last week against the bills...... a solid win tomorrow heading to NE, IMO, is necessary for a chance of success up there. if the jets manage to beat NE you can start making your plans for the division title celebration. jil
You feel that way because your a Jets fan living in the home area, I've concluded. You guys all seem to have this psychological impediment.
if we play the way we did against the bills, minus that favre interception, we will win this game steven jackson is out too with an injury so that should help us out alot too
30 rushes between jones and leon guarantees a win. Run it down there throat then throw a couple of pa's to coles deep and cotchery over the middle and 2 or so screens to leon washington. If i was the oc that would be my game plan almost everyweek. We have the capability to be a great offense i just think we need to be more simple. Run Run Run Run screen Run Run Run Run pa fuck the 5 wr formation unless its a two minute drill or we are down. Thats not how u win games
The Jets already had their letdown game with Oakland. They will hopefully play good solid football tomorrow.
