The thing people are forgetting about the Bills is their defense. They lost their 3 best defensive players this offseason and it looks like darwin Walker won't be going there either. They might score some points but they'll have trouble stopping teams from scoring.

Miami is scary now. Their defense has always been great. With Green, even if he isn't what he once was, and a new coach they should win at least 8 games and probably beat us at least once..

You know my question is if everyone is saying Mia will not win the division then why worry since if I understand it correctly our objective is to overtake the Pats & nobody has said that Mia will overtake them?

You worry because they could beat us once or twice and cause us to be in a worse position to overtake NE, why else?

Well my adage is to be the BEST you must beat the BEST so if we lose to Mia once that makes us less then BEST & if we lose twice then we are way less then BEST & it would be time I guess to say 3rd or last place would be in our future for 07 which is what we would deserve since we were less then BEST

In 2006 NE lost to Miami 21-0...They sucked
In 2005 NE lost to Miami 28-26 ...They sucked
In 2004 NE lost to Miami 29-28...they sucked all the way to a SB title...

Just because you lose a game to a team once does not make you suck...

I think great is a big stretch, they always play very well when the pressure is off but can't play well in big games. Great D's play well in big games. Their D is good no doubt about it but great is a major stretch.

the point i was trying to go for here champ is that miami wont be losing those 17-3/17-6 games much this year if green plays well....ppl are focusing on what he did when he got back on the field after his injury last year, forgetting that hes had time to rest and rehab and prepare more due to the offseason.

im just saying miami is a team that will require a solid game played on both sides of the ball to beat....they wont be great, but they will be a much better club than last years team...

Fiedler was and still is the best QB the Fins have had since Marino. We gave elf ears plenty of crap, but he was a winner for the most part.

Green is WAY past his prime. If he's an upgrade over last year, it's slight.

Yeah, great is a stretch. I should have said always good. Maybe I was comparing it to their offense of the last several years in my mind.

    Spleen Rupture...nuff said.

  15. Did you see the personell Wise had to work w/ in Miami? It was an absolute disaster...

Believe it or not, Wise was the orchestator behind the building of the 90's cowboys line w/ Allen, Williams, Newton and Stepnoski. He has a great reputation around the league in terms of developing linemen, teaching technique and classroom work. He was not brought in by Mangini by default or randomly. He is very well respected throughout the league.

Anyone who has been to the Jets TC will tell you, the guy is an absolute stupendous teacher, who is extremely intense, and who goes above and beyond alot of other coaches.

OK & yes I would agree with the theroy you posted. What you posted in the second paragraph should be something we do each & every game not just for Miami. Just remember Cleveland last year when we slept thru the 1st what 57 or so minutes & then had to depend on a officals call. You know the adage "On any given Sunday any NFL team can beat another"

I don't know, Green or no Green I think the Dolphins are alot closer to being the laughingstock of the league than they are challenging for the division..

Yeah, they're one slip from a really terrible season. People gloss over the aging issues on defense, but aside from injuries aging is the single factor most likely to produce a significant drop in production.

I see the Dolphins right now as three+ seasons into a non-rebuilding program and deteriorating each season that it continues. I'll admit I don't understand how that's happened because they have resources available to the organization in Shula and Marino that should be all over this every time Huizenga speaks to them.

this quote really cracked me up! since when have the jets had offense and defensive lines comparable to the pats? more to the liking of the phins if anything! homer thinking for sure.

trent will make the phins a much better team on offense, and thats not good for the jets. jets are a very beatable team and miami has enough defense, that with a little more offense, can beat most marginal teams.

last i heard, it takes more than two to make an offensive line. and what you said about carey can also be said about brick. just what exactly has he proven? he can't run block all that great and he better improve on the number of sacks he gave up last year also. if it wasn't for penny having such a noodle arm and having to dink and dunk, who knows how many sacks he would have given up playing with a qb that require's a blocker to keep his guy blocked for a second or two longer!!!
