That really might be the best article I've ever read. Dr. Z has always been one of my favorites. Yes, he ranked us 26th in the power rankings, which I didn't quite understand, but I believe he does it solely based on how you've played this year, in which case we deserved it.
Now I understand a little bit better, why Bellicheat was so pissed off with Mangini coming to the Jets.
That's right. And so, it becomes obvious that the Patriots are now lying to cover up. Someone on the Patriots said yesterday (perhaps it was Belicheater himself) that the reason he "misinterpreted" the video-taping rule is because he thought the rule only applied if the tapes were being sude during that game. They're cockamamie story is that the tapes were being made for some kind of "future review library" that they go over in the offseason. Yeah... uh huh.... They must think Goodell was born yesterday. What a crock. They're burying themselves. The more this drags out and the more the public sees there's a coverup, the more imperative it's going to be for Goodell to have a full-blown investigation over it, followed by some pretty hurtful damage to the Patriots.
It gets boring towards the end, but then picks back up when he talks about the game, it really is a good read. It details how the Pats cheat, but no one has reported it. I hope the NFL offices are flooded with calls from other teams. This has been going on far too long, it calls into question everything about them.
"I Never said Tom Brady was a hero Cause i remember him at Michigan Bringing Gatorade to brian Griese Except for garbage time when he got in" LMMFAO!!! AHAHAHAHAHAH
The best and truest lines in that whole song were "When you know which plays are comin it can make a coach look cunning and make an average quarterback elite"
You know what is most amazing about this thread? It's been merged 17 times!!!! Is that some kind of record? Just curious.
BB should just have a press conference and step down to accept punishment and to curb further embarrassment.
I know you don't want to admit this, Baron, but this thread is a microcosm of how big this story is and how much it continues to grow. This thing has legs, big time. This is why I'm saying I'm not sure Goodell can, even if he wanted to, get rid of it quickly and make it go away. Every major news channel has picked it up and you'll probably be seeing it on the cover of Newsweek, etc. And as the juicier details start to emerge, it'll keep gaining momentum. But that's okay, you can still say it's "no big deal." We like having you here and you make for interesting conversation.
wow, this is from an espn.com article: http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/columns/story?columnist=sando_mike&id=3017542 Explains why they played so bad in the second half, doesn't it?
It has legs, as others have pointed out, because it fits into the larger narrative about the new ways that you can cheat at sports with the aid of modern chemistry and technology. The average sports fan is sick of the Tour de France debacle, the Bonds 'roids BS, and now this. The Pats homers around here will spin whatever punishment the Commish hands out as "no big deal" but considering the way he has treated Vick and all of the other NFL felons, he has to hurt the Pats. Big Time, if for no other reason that he will get killed by Vick supporters crying racism (rightly or wrongly) if he slaps Belly and Kraft on the wrist for their "white collar" crimes. TBTF
also, to all those that give the "everybody does it" defense, this article pretty much says no, only the pats do: http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/columns/story?columnist=chadiha_jeffri&id=3017423
did any1 happen to catch Scott Ferrall on SNY yesterday pretending to be Bellicheat. Very funny stuff
