The Colts game is our super bowl!!!! Next week is our Super Bowl! Seriously, it?s just so amazing to be in this position, a) because this season was a circus and for it to gel into this is more than satisfying and exciting and b) because we?re the Jets. Now, I?m not saying that I don?t care about winning the Super Bowl, but I think getting there is SO MUCH more important. If we get there, the 2009 Jets cement their place in history. Championship game losers are forgotten pretty quickly. Beating the Colts would frame this season forever. And this may sound silly, but we don?t need all the bangwagon supporters right now. Let?s just get to the Super Bowl, validate this season, validate Sanchez, Rex and the D, and validate all of us as Jets fans. If we lose, we lose. If we win, all the better. But we must get there. We can't get this far and fall short again. Then, let?s go and win the Super Bowl next year after DOMINIATING the season. I want one of those dominating years where we go 13-3 or better and run through teams, go into the playoffs as the favorite, and take care of business. We've really never had that...maybe 98 with Parcells, but that season had a slow start. I want an end to end dominating season. I really believe this run has set us up to become the new force in the AFC while the Pats struggle to keep it together, the Colts get a little older and more conservative, and the Chargers...well, i think we all know we'll never have to worry about the soft-ass Chargers. I?m so fuckin excited. The craziest thing about the game yesterday was that I KNEW we would win when going into halftime down only 7-0 and Revis had just returned that weak 57 yard FG attempt halfway up the field. I?ve been watching the Jets religiously since 1990 and HAVE NEVER FELT that way when losing at halftime, much less in a high stakes game like this. I knew Doug Brien would miss those FG's, and so did you. But now, SOJ really is done. I think Jets fans have taken on the confidence and pride that Rex instilled in the team. It?s FUCKIN AMAZING!! Happy days everyone?this is all we?ve ever wanted?it?s what we?ve pined for and complained about for years and years. We?re here! We have nothing to lose.
