the people who think Pennington is going to be doing anything other then holding a clipboard next season are delusional. the only reason he wasn't cut outright was because of the cap implications, and with the new CBA he might not even get out of training camp.
That is why this site is the best, you guys are on top of this stuff, but one question, are there any rules prohibiting you from trading a player quickly like this. I know in the NBA you have a 48 hour window to retrade a player but it has to be one on one trade, then after that 48 hour you have to wait 3 months before trading that player
Abe doesn't care who he plays for, as long as he gets money, and frankly it doesn't matter who he "wants" to play for. He will play where we send him, or he can stay here and be unhappy for another year, and we'll threaten to just franchise him next year again too.
looks like nothing is confirmed yet. As for Schaub he had one great game against NE, we really don't know what we're getting here. If Abe is gone, we lost our only dominant defensive player, Vilma, Ellis and D-Rob have yet to show me dominance. Abe could take over a game and was a truly a special player that actually underachieved in NY. Anyway, if this deal goes through I honestly feel we will trade down in the draft.
That would be a no-brainer at that point. If we're making this big of a move to make Schaub our qb, then we need to insure ourselves that he has the cast around him to be successful.
Hate being picky...but in the end it would the following net deal for the Jets... Abe + 6th for Schaub + 2nd.
ESPN radio doesn't necessarily put out the same broadcast in every area. If the person making the claim lives outside of NY it very well could be being reported while we are getting a game.
I also don't believe it. If this was the case, there would have been a three team trade earlier today. Two separate trades within a couple hours of each other involving the same player just doesn't happen in the NFL. Then again, I could be completely wrong. I'll just wait until I hear something official.

Terrible trade. Abe commands a first rounder. I'd rather keep Ramsey and get another first rounder for Abe from another team.
