Ok...ok...I will pull the reins in a bit. Whats bothering me even more is the person who edited your post! Who the hell is that??!
They will get slapped around in Denver next week. Then they have an open date. Maybe they'll beat SF at home on 10/1.
if the jets and chiefs finish in the same place in the standings, they come to the meadowlands next year. they definitely will be coming in 2008
I heard the quote. I need to hear it again. I thought he had said "will", but that wouldn't make sense and he did say it fast. He may have actually said "won't."
Come on Sundayjack, we can either spend our time in the Jets forum arguing with champ on whether or not to cut Mike Negent or poke fun at our favorite chicken-chaser. I'm starting to consider abandoning tgg.com to take up permanent residency in a Chiefs forum. Much better material to work with. You just need to decide Sunday....are you on the bus or not?
This is my favorite out of a KC paper! "We haven’t seen a debut this bad since the maker of the Titanic shouted, “full steam ahead.”"
It's funny how quickly the worm turns around here. I'd say up until even the end of last season the board was more or less split about Herm and the job he was doing. Now it's more like 99-junc, rajensen and buttle and people are cackling with glee when it rains in KC because that's somehow Herm's fault too. Bizzare.
Been there. Seems they don't yet appreciate Edwardtainment. Some of them get downright nasty - which, of course, leads to a whole world of ever BETTER entertainment. I left them alone this morning, though.
I was just thinking that exact same thing this morning when I read Cimini's hack at Herm in today's paper. Stange transformation.
MORE Gems from Herm from the post-game Press conference... http://www.kcchiefs.com/news/2006/09/10/chiefsbengals_postgame_quotes/ Q: When you went down the field on the first drive and kicked a field goal. When you ran the ball, people in the press box were saying it’s Herm being conservative and settling for three. EDWARDS: “Missed communication on the call. I’ll leave it at that.” Q: After a game like this where so much seemed not to go right, is it hard to get past it? EDWARDS: “No, because it can all be corrected. First off, you can’t turn the ball over and then you have to make some drives on offense.”
From his press conference on 1/9/6: Q: Some have questioned your game management. How do you respond? EDWARDS: “Well, the great thing about it is you’ll find out. As soon as I make a mistake you’ll say, ‘there he goes again.’ Every coach in this league goes through it. Haven’t heard that this year though. There’s always going to be a situation when you decide to do something and people will say why did you throw instead of run; why did you run instead of throw, why did you let the clock go down? That’s OK. That’s part of the deal.” http://www.kcchiefs.com/news/2006/01/09/chiefs_head_coach_herm_edwards_press_conference/ So glad he is their coach and not ours!
my favorite herm moment was against the ravens a few years back, when quincy carter filled in for chad...and he ran the clock down, kicked the field goal and took it to overtime...which everyone KNEW we would lose...we took zero shots at the endzone, didnt try to score a touchdown ONCE...classic case of playing not to lose instead of playing to win
We must revive this thread. I have found gold http://abclocal.go.com/wls/story?section=sports&id=5616223
