They ride Brady and the Pats a lot. How often do you see the Jets? Probably not as much as the Patriots, or even half as much. Pats have been better, and they're mainstream because of the 3 Super Bowls. You're kidding yourself if you think otherwise.
so I watch ESPN..and what? You're point is what? and you already used website, but I'm sure you have a whole goody bag full of obnoxious pictures to post on message boards, every troll pretty much does. You're a real witty guy y'know that.
actually, the Patriots have been the most obscure, star less, dynasty in NFL history. They don't get hyped like Dallas or San Fran, or even Buffalo when they were LOSING. The Patriots went about their business efficiently, but they have no national presence fan wise. Each super bow saw patriots fans drowned out by opposing fans.
They don't get hyped when they're losing because they haven't fielded a bad team since they went on the Super Bowl run. And whatever they did BEFORE that run means absolutely nothing because what people care about is Brady and Bruschi and Bellichick. They have as much star power and hype as any team in the NFL right now to deny that is to deny that the sky is blue and the sun is really fucking big.
Nobody cares about Belichicken because he's a surly, prick hermit, Bruschi? Meh, semi star, like Darryl Talley or something. The only star is Brady, and even he gets dwarfed on the national level by Peyton Manning. The Patriots might be "known" because of there wins, but you don't see swarms of Patriot fans going into other teams stadiums, nor do you see huge ratings for Patriot games like you do for Cowboy, Raider(when they're decent) or Steelers.
Yes. Why is CBS so cheap to not go out and have enough equipment to broadcast every game? It's not like it goes to waste during the rest of the year, they can use it for their golf coverage, NCAA basketball, etc etc.
It's maddening. Every NFL game on Fox is in hi-def. I mean, I'm watching the Jets play a home game in the NYC market and it's not in hi-def. That's just ridiculous.
Yesterday's game had no technical problems, the game looked nice on CBS's Hi-Def feed. My signal strength is still a bit low from Cablevision but I'm leaving well-enough alone.
Looking forward to watching an important Jets game in Hi-Def today !! As an aside, I think the main Jets Game Thread will cross the magic 100 pages mark. I'll say 104. BTW, anybody notice that the hi-def feed last night on NBC via the NFL Network wasn't as crisp as the usual NBC feed ??
The last thing the NFL network is is garbage. I watch it all the time during the week for my football fix.
The stuff I saw during this week's trial was pretty good -- saw a nice in-depth feature on the Giants 1990 Super Bowl season. I was referring to the crisp picture quality of the game last night.
