thats the regular games, the SuperFan HD games are like 720 and beyond. and from what I saw the game wasnt in Hi-Def. or it didnt appear to be. i get together with my father for the games and he has the Sony SXRD or whatever. the 60 inch tv with 1080p resolution. ionno but its great lol, i'm still waiting for directv to be able to broadcast in 1080p those will be the days.
That's a great set, it's LCoS technology. It has 1080P resolution but outside of some HDTV DVD players and PS3 there are very few true 1080p broadcast inputs. So the TV isn't really showing 1080p.
Cable/Hi-Def Signal Strength: If you have the Cablevision SA 4200/8300, you can find out your signal strength this way: (1) Put the TV (using the set top box) on a digital or HD channel. (2) Hit the little ROUND BUTTON which is between the CHANNEL UP/DOWN buttons and the VOLUME UP/DOWN buttons on the STB. Hold it in for a second or two and you will see an LED light above an envelope/letter ID start to flash. (3) With the LED light flashing, hit the INFO button on the face of the STB. (4) Data comes across the TV screen. The info you want is the 'RF FREQUENCIES', which is the middle of the 3 segments. The first line says TUNER and has a number next to it. (5) The TUNER number should be in WHITE and be between +/- 10db. If it is higher than +/- 10 db, it will be ORANGE, indicating OK but borderline. If it is RED, you're probably having problems. (6) Hit EXIT on the STB to get rid of the data on the TV screen.
TV picture so far is pretty good in HD today, though my signal from Cablevision is very weak (-15db, need a service call). Interesting: the HD feed is AHEAD of the SD feed by about 2-3 seconds, and they are both ahead of the WABC radio feed.
Addendum: No sound drops or pixelazations at all during Jets game...surprising, since signal is very weak. Guess the Jets and me both had good days !!
Wow I have DirecTV as well and I thought the HD channel was the same for every DirecTV subsriber. My CBS HD channel is 80. Picture was great by the way. Note: I take that back it's 80 on the east coast and 81 on the west coast.
I have the super fan with the nfl ticket here in NC and all my hd games are from channel 720 to 727 right now the giants/boys game and pitt/tb game are on hd for me. My regular CBS hd is channel 3.
Just curious...what HDTV's does everyone here have? Mine is a 42" Philips 9631 Plasma. Sports look awesome on it -- very happy with the set overall.
the quality of any broadcast starts with the source signal. even a non-hdtv telecast will look better if the feed to the station is an hdtv feed. games on the non-hd nfl ticket channels look much better if the game is also being shown on an hd channel. so, i don't pay them an extra $ 99 /yr .
The Verizon FiOS HDTV is far superior to what I was getting from Cablevision. The picture (as well as other HD channels) never breaks up or freezes. Cheaper, too. I have a 37" Sharp LCD set. Went to my niece's for Thankgiving... they have a new 40 some odd inch LCD... 48 I guess?... awsome.
Lack of RESPECT!!! Once again no High Def Broadcast on CBS Playoff bound NY Jets and I have to watch AGAIN in 480i BULLSH1T!!!! It sounds like crying but I have a 60" Mitsubishi Tv and looks awful in Standard Broadcast. The picture looks better on the 35" in my bedroom UGH
Who's to Blame no HD - CBS or DirecTV Who's to blame when certain games are not broadcast in HD - the networks or DirecTV????? Its bullshit.
