Good point, but with that being Rhule's philosophy, how could Kingsbury and he co-exist? Rhule would either have to alter his philosophy completely or reach some sort of tentative compromise which would be iffy and have the potential to blow up in the Jets' faces.

Rhule / Monken if McCarthy doesn't come here. Please no to Adam Gase.

Now to be fair Broadway Sam posted some info that suggests hes more offensive minded than this article suggests..but this team needs somebody w a scoring mentality. No more tip toeing through the tulips depending on run heavy/play sction schemes & settling for Field goals in big spots.

The fact that the Jets are not showing their cards is GREAT. This is the right way to do things from a competitive and professionalism standpoint. The fact that we really don't know what's going on is refreshing and Im fine with it.

With that said, if the Gase thing actually happens I will be extremely disappointed. He has been known to clash with players and that is not the right move for this team right now. We have underlying locker room issues as it is and we need someone who can unite a team. Game is young and smart, but I'm not sure he can lead a locker room the way a coach needs to in the current NFL culture.

    Just my opinion....

McCarthy, Rhule, Monken are probably the most responsible and safe options. Kliff is innovative and can lead, but I think he has a learning curve as well.

Whoever it is, lets support him 100% as true fans and give him a chance to lead this team!

    JET UP!

Gase is the absolute worst candidate possible. That would be a disaster, therefore I expect it to happen.

I disagree. So I guess that Bill Walsh's WCO was just a fad, as was whomever came up with 3-4 D alignment, or Tony Dungy's Tampa Bay 4-3 variation.

The Jets have ALWAYS been behind the curve, NEVER had an innovative HC or coordinator who set the curve.

You say we haven’t been ahead of the curve or innovative but I distinctly remember Sheldon Richardson being put in pass coverage as a line backer

The ultimate swerve: what if it's Gase as HC and Kliff as OC? I'd never hate and love anything as much as I would that.

I’m fine with the right experienced coach...I’m fine with the right inexperienced coach. I just don’t understand the either/or as we’ve seen all different types of head coaches succeed and fail

There is no one set rule and I haven’t seen any evidence that one or the other has a higher probability of success

I’m just not in love with the experienced coaches that are out there...I’d rather punt and pray with the unknown vs the retreads of the world

I would have been good with Jim or John Harbaugh but the other retreads out there have serious issues

Apparently he decided to not interview with the Browns, so who knows what that means. I prefer McCarthy over the unproven guys, so to me this is a shame.
