I see Roy Williams and Reggie Brown. Who's the 3rd WR in the top 20? Anyways, I like Roy Williams but I'm not crazy about R.Brown - McNabb has never had a true #1 go-to guy.
That was a very short-lived relationship. McNabb still has never had a main WR for a whole season. Brown was there last year and he never authoritatively assumed the #1 role.
Alex Smith Matt Leinart Maurice Jones-Drew Ladanian Tomlinson Willis McGahee Ronald Curry Andre Johnson Vincent Jackson Jerricho Cotchery Tory Holt Vernon Davis Marcedes Lewis David Akers D Saints
That's a hell of a team. How many teams are in your league? Does defense include special teams? Otherwise, you may want to pick up a different D.
Especially since they are playing at Indianapolis in Week 1. My advice for him is to drop the Saints defense and go the revolving door defense route for the season.
12 Team NFL.com leauge, it is a shite winners leauge, 4 guys didn't show for the draft, also I think there is 1 guy controlling two teams, because there was a mysterious sign in/signout going on and one guy kept making fun of the other guys picks, I got the 2nd pick, Brady went first this is how the draft went Draft Results Round 1 1 Pats Tom Brady (QB NE) 2 Wolfe Tones LaDainian Tomlinson (RB SD) 3 headhunters Steven Jackson (RB STL) 4 primr time* Shaun Alexander (RB SEA) 5 tar heels* Peyton Manning (QB IND) 6 the rattalers Reggie Bush (RB NO) 7 Huevos Rancheros Carson Palmer (QB CIN) 8 Enforcers* Larry Johnson (RB KC) 9 die hards5 Frank Gore (RB SF) 10 Machete Drew Brees (QB NO) 11 sa cowboys Chad Johnson (WR CIN) 12 dallas cowboys Terrell Owens (WR DAL) Round 2 13 dallas cowboys Brian Westbrook (RB PHI) 14 sa cowboys Vince Young (QB TEN) 15 Machete Marvin Harrison (WR IND) 16 die hards5 Rudi Johnson (RB CIN) 17 Enforcers* Joseph Addai (RB IND) 18 Huevos Rancheros Travis Henry (RB DEN) 19 the rattalers Steve Smith (WR CAR) 20 tar heels* DST Ravens (DST BAL) 21 primr time* Willie Parker (RB PIT) 22 headhunters Laurence Maroney (RB NE) 23 Wolfe Tones Willis McGahee (RB BAL) 24 Pats Clinton Portis (RB WAS) Round 3 25 Pats Antonio Gates (TE SD) 26 Wolfe Tones Torry Holt (WR STL) 27 headhunters Reggie Wayne (WR IND) 28 primr time* Marc Bulger (QB STL) 29 tar heels* Jeremy Shockey (TE NYG) 30 the rattalers DST Steelers (DST PIT) 31 Huevos Rancheros Roy Williams (WR DET) 32 Enforcers* Donovan McNabb (QB PHI) 33 die hards5 Ronnie Brown (RB MIA) 34 Machete Larry Fitzgerald (WR ARI) 35 sa cowboys Adrian Peterson (RB MIN) 36 dallas cowboys Tony Romo (QB DAL) 1 L Tomlinson 2 W McGahee 3 T Holt 4 M Jones-Drew 5 A Johnson 6 V Davis 7 V Jackson 8 M Leinart 9 A Smith 10 J Cotchery 11R Curry 12 D Saints 13 D Akers 14 M Lewis
Yes, if you don't win this league you should retire from fantasy football. Tom Brady #1 overall? :rofl2:
it actually was really disorientating, it completely shot my gameplan with my previous rankings, thats why QB was a bit sketchy, too many RBs and WRs to draft along with Davis
i worked a little with my team, now it?s: QB Peyton Manning WR Randy Moss WR Chris Chambers (someone actually waived him, and i just picked him up!!!) WR TO (i traded Stallworth&Merriman for TO&Vilma) RB Marshawn Lynch RB Vernand Morency TE Benjamin Watson BN Jerious Norwood BN Ronald Curry BN Daniel Graham BN Jason Campbell BN Calvin Johnson K Shayne Graham DEF Minnesota D Jason Taylor D DeMarcus Ware D Kerry Rhodes D Vilma BN Kirk Morrison i?m still trying to use some of my WRs as a tade bait to get a solid 2nd back. Which one of them would you trade in terms of value/production? Chamber, TO, Moss or Johnson?
Yeah, you need another RB. Calvin Johnson and Randy Moss are two guys whose stock is probably higher than what they'll give you. Hold on to TO if you can but some variation of the other 3 guys should probably be used as trade bait for a RB. Edit: But don't make a bad trade cuz Norwood actually may wind up being a great RB this year.
Tried a little something different, I NEVER take a QB early, I always make sure I get at least my starting RBs and WRs, and usually 1 backup each – meaning I go into like the 8th round before even looking at QBs. This time I took Manning and Harrison back-to-back for the ol’ “double points” scheme. My running backs are iffy, but not terrible, and I ended up getting some pretty good other receivers (I’m very high on Ward, and can switch up the others depending on whose hot) QB: Peyton Manning RB: Marshawn Lynch, Deuce McCallister, Jerius Norwood, Leon Washington WR: Marvin Harrison, Hines Ward, Vincent Jackson, Jericho Cotchery, Bernard Berrian, Michael Clayton TE: Heath Miller, Eric Johnson K: Robbie Gould D: Jacksonville *note* this is from a mock draft, so I can't make trades or anything
I used this strategy last season in a 10 team league basically because I had the 10th pick and had to. It worked out well in the end as Manning and Harrison connected for 3 TD's championship week to bring home the bacon. It was tough when they didn't hook up though. I like the way you built your team, but even more important than with a standard RB's and WR's first strategy, you would have to pay close attention to the waiver wire. Obviously you can't do that with a mock, but I think you get my point.
How did i do...ps i wasnt there for the draft 8 team league, QB-Carson QB- Big Ben WR-T.J. Houshmandzadeh WR- Coles WR- Cotch RB- LJohnson RB- Maroney TE- Vernon Davis Bench... Thomas Jones Mark Clayton Alex Smith Ben Watson (TE)
having 2 WRs from the same team is always a little problem, aside from that, that?s a very solid team.
