it?s not a keeper league. 6pts for rushing/receiving TD. I know it?s a little bit unusual, but it should be interresting and i?m looking forward to see how this ends up. and since i got Manning, i should have the best of this scoring. I also got another team, with usual scoring. I got Moss with a pic around 50, so there wasn?t much left.
10 team league (1) RB - LT (20) WR - Torry Holt (21) WR - Terrell Owens (40) RB - Duece McAllister (41) RB - Marshawn Lynch (60) QB - Phillip Rivers (61) WR - Laverneous Coles (80) TE - Algea Crumpler (81) D - Chargers (100) RB - Fred Taylor (101) QB - Alex Smith (120) RB - Leon Washington (121) WR - Matt Jones (140) WR - Isaac Bruce (141) K - Robbie Gould
great team, only questionmar is see is QB, but i belive Rivers can be a top 5 QB this year. And even if not, you should be hard to beat.
Excellent team. I'm assuming you only start 2 RBs. Otherwise, McAllister might be an issue. And I don't really like any of your back-ups (except for Coles if he's a back-up on this team). But very solid team.
I did a mock draft last night. Ten teams. 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR. I cleaned up. Check this team out (drafted in the two spot): Drew Brees Steven Jackson Willis McGahee Torry Holt Braylon Edwards Joey Galloway Jeremy Shockey Jacksonville D Brett Favre Marshawn Lynch Vernand Morency Tatum Bell Darrell Jackson
Exactly my thoughts. I'm guessing you picked second. I enjoy trying to figure out where people were picked - it helps me out during my own drafts to have a better idea of who might fall to me in future rounds. Rd 1 - Jackson Rd 2 - Mcgahee Rd 3 - Holt Rd 4 - Lynch Rd 5 - Brees (these may be switched) Rd 6 - Edwards Rd 7 - Shockey Rd 8 - Galloway Rd 9 - Jackson Rd 10- Bell Rd 11- Favre Rd 12- Morency Rd 13- JAX
12 Team League: QB: Drew Brees, Jake Delholmme RB: LaMont Jordan, Adrian Peterson, Fred Taylor, Dominic Rhodes WR: Chad Johnson, Steve Smith, Anquan Boldin, Bernard Berrian, Dwayne Bowe TE: LJ Smith K: Nate Kaeding DST: Denver
Your obvious weakness is RB but I still like your team a lot. You might want to shop one of those WRs for a RB cuz Berrian is a good #3 already and you will barely use him.
OK- I've got a keeper league dilemma. We get three keepers. I'm keeping Willie Parker and Larry Fitzgerald - that much I know. I also have Cadillac Williams, Brandon Jacobs, and Andre Johnson. I pick 11th out of 12 teams. So if I keep Andre (who I think is the best player available amongst the 3), I could get stuck with an RB I don't want like Ahman Green or Deuce McAllister. Should I keep Andre anyway? If not, who is the better choice between Cadillac and Jacobs?
@ predator: first of all great new Avi!!! I?d try to shop one of your top string WRs for a solid RB. Smith/CJ, Boldin, Berrian is a good enogh WR corp, and you obviosly need a solid front runner. @ Namath2Kolber: I?d keep Johnson. You should be able to pick up a solid #2 runner with your selection like McGahee, Benson, Edgerin James, Thomas Jones, Lynch, Ahman Green, Jamal Lewis or Marion Barber III, don?t worry someone?s gonna fall to you. And chances that Williams or Jacobs are also availabe when you pick are high, but Johnson probably be gone. If you wanna keep a RB i?d keep Williams, if healthy he?s the unquestioned NR. 1 in Tampa and should produce good numbers. Jacobs probably will share a lot of carries with Droughns.
Yea, that team was just from a mock draft, I wanted to try something new out, so I tried grabbing the top two recievers, and it worked out. Then Brees fell to me at the end of the third, and an even bigger gift was there in the fourth with Anquan Boldin. I had wanted to get the two WRs then go RB-RB in the 3-4 rounds, but since I was already drafting unconventionally I figured I'd keep rolling and see what I could do with grabbing three #1 recievers and a great QB. I'd be interested to see how a team like this pans out over the season (especially if it's PPR :lol It's definately an interesting strategy if you can get the top two recievers then another #1 guy like Boldin - it should be a tough team.
That's one hell of a dilema!hmy: I mean, Parker/Fitz/Johnson is a nice trio, but you definately have a chance of getting screwed otu of a good 2nd RB. The 11th pick sucks in a league like that. I really don't think Cadilac is going to be very good - he hasn't been productive since like the fifth game of his career: From CBS Sportsline "In fact, since Williams' hot start as a rookie in '05, he's totaled five 100-yard efforts and four touchdowns in 25 games. That's not so good." I think Jacobs actually has a shot at being a solid #2 back. He seemed to run much better last season between the 20 yard lines and is obviously a force in the red zone. If I were you, I think I'd stay with Johnson, and hope on getting someone like Deuce as your #2. Or you may even be able to get Jacobs back, who I would rather have over Deuce.
Picked 10th in 12 team draft, start 3 WRs, 2 RBs 1 of everything else 9 M Leinart 6 J Cutler 1 W Parker 2 T Henry 11 B Jackson 3 M Lynch 4 R Williams Lions 14 R Curry Raiders 5 R Brown Eagles 7 J Cotchery 10 M Jones 8 V Davis 13 N Rackers 12 D Dolphins
Your weakness is definitely at WR but you have stellar RBs. I like Leinart. I like Davis. Very solid team.
3 of my WR are in the NFL.com top 20, and Roy Williams is ranked 6, so I do not see it as too much of weakness, I am more worried of my QBs and TE production
yeah, WR and RB look very good to me. I?d also trust in Vernon Davis, to be a top 10 TE and a solid pickup. Your problem is QB, you got 2 young QBs, where nobody is sure, what to expect from them this year. But i think they both got good upside, and if you look at, what Cuttler has done in the final 4 games of 2006 (where they could still reach the Playoffs) you shouldn?t worry too much.
