How can you argue with his logic?

Take a pay cut, know you'll have a job and the ability to get Rex to trust you (Brunell is 40 and wont be around forever...probably not even next year) and next year go to free agency and get whatever you can get. If Rex wants him they'll sign him to a fair deal. If he dosent then he's free to get what he can from another team.

    Or...

get cut in a day or two (you and your non guaranteed contract) and good luck catching on with another team with 2 weeks left of preseason.

    RichCimini

Eating hamburgers at practice, sleepwalking on offense, showing no leadership ... you get the feeling #Jets aren't taking things seriously?

sadly, i agree with Cimini. This team is in for a rude ass awakening.

Cimini is such a Jets insider that he needed to see the TV show to get some insight into the team.

I dont doubt for a second that like all "reality" TV some of this stuff is played up for the cameras.

Hard Knocks edits the shit out of the show.

People thought McKnight might get cut due to an edited reality show.

Do I need to go further with how fucking stupid people can be? Because I've lost all patience on this board.

It seems like the Revis bullshit has made everyone just turn off the brain and jump off a cliff.

    OK.

I get where you're coming from, tailsaynon (I hate you're SN even more than I hate my own, BTW).

    1) Rich Cimini knows nothing. Period.

    2) Rex Ryan loved the hamburgers thing. I'm sure of it. The cameras caught "posturing," as evidenced by the Westhoff-Ryan exchange.

    3) Great teams expect better from their best. That's what Hard Knocks displayed tonight. You're not going to hear "sophomore slump" or "first-year Jets" offered as excuses from Rex Ryan. Good teams are self-critical. If the worst that can be said about our team was heard in a locker room pep talk, that's a good thing.

Rex is the best. He has stolen the show/series to me..

The cheeseburger scene was hilarious, but damn..
And of course the god damn snack quote...
Also, gotta love the way he ripped into this team in terms of how he can't be the leader (or only leader, for that matter). People have to step it up, he can't be the only one that believes in this team anymore.

Was he in this episode? I've been waiting for him since week 1.

There was decent scene(s) in this one after the contract extension where Rex and others were joking about how much bigger he was than the team and how he had changed (the money got to his head) when he showed up late to a team meeting and some other stuff.

I totally agree. For a guy who threw 20 INT's Sanchez seems way too casual and overconfident.

Some other things I took away from last night's episode..
    1. I like Revis less and less every day he holds out especially after you see all the collateral damage of 2nd tier players getting cut or getting their salaries reduced to make room for his blockbuster contract.
    2. I really love our Coaching Staff from top to bottom
    3. I see another Pete Kendall fiasco as a result of cutting Faneca. Neither of these 2 guys can play.
    4. Jason Taylor is an A-Hole. Rex should have chewed his ass out for being late. Think that shit would fly on the Patriots or Giants?

Wow Ducasse is raw... it's "funny" to see Turner having to explain to him what he did wrong...
I'm actually pretty faithful in Slauson. Sure he had 1 bad mistake but all in all he prved to be solid.

I LOVE Westhoff, I hope the dude never ever retires... kind of ala Dick LeBeau... I also like Callahan a lot.

Clemens negotiations were funny :p... I'm happy he's on the team.

It's so painful to see guys getting cut... man the NFL is a harsh business.

The guy distributing Cheeseburgers was Lowery... the guy eating it while running was Cromartie. That was a stupid ass move, I hope they get fined by the team.

PS There really is no leader on Offense... Sanchez is a very likeable guy but he needs to be more of a leader... same for Mangold.
