Honestly, it's like a FFL draft on Yahoo! and they went linkdead after the Mangold pick, and it's just picking random players.

How has the entire draft been a disappointment?

The first 3 picks were great.

The last two have been character guys that are similar to players like Vrabel and Brady that Mangini and Belicheck worked with to make stars.

You never know just who will be good. Schlegel and Smith we're picked for a reason.

Agreed....we didn't need a safety. I guess rhodes and coleman are not mangini guys. As much as I like the fact that we helped the line and the qb the rest of this draft is going bad quick.

I'm thinking Mangini might still be on the Patriots payroll. That was the 3rd round from HELL. What a f'ing waste.

    Per ESPN Draft Guide:

    6'1" 203
    40yrd: 4.58

A big hitter with impressive range. Reads keys well and takes good pursuit angles. Plays under control in space, then squares up and lays the whammy. Rarely misses tackles. Good burst out of his cuts, quickly changes directions and is solid in short-area-man-to-man coverage. Smith is a presence over the middle. Closes fast and times his licks well. Could be productive on special teams.

Had 101 tackles in 2005 for the Spartans ... next guy on the team had 63 .. so he didn't have alot of help.

Watson was benched for 5 games including the Alamo Bowl due to a lack of effort. I don't think Mangini would want a guy like that.
