Someone should ask Glenn if that ship is even moving, let alone turning.

    Couldn’t agree more

Like I always say, GREAT doesn’t take a long time to show up, either in coaches or in players. On the other hand, CRAP shows up right away.

I don’t think you go from THIS bad to great, I just don’t.

I’m trying to find positive’s in what Glenn has done this year, but there are hardly any to point to, and none that are REALLY great that you can point to.

If pressed, I’d say that hiring Banjo and letting him run the special teams is probably his best accomplishment. But the offense and defense both have been shit. And while I agree the roster has a lot to fix, I still don’t believe it is an 0-7 start roster…I think AG’s personal choice of QB is his bed to lie in, and I think while the OL has gotten better compared to the last couple of years, and the RB is decent, he’s managed to have one of the worst offenses in the league. The defense has many returning players and looks much worse than last year, and that was before trading away Sauce and Q so that’s no excuse. The penalties are still bad…I think BA pointed out we went from almost last to like 20th now, which ok fine is an improvement, but sorry I’m not jumping for joy at being 20th.

It’s like we’ve had SO many issues on both sides of the ball, man just choose ONE and go fix it! But nope.

This team does not look like a young up and coming team playing their hearts out. This team looks tired and disinterested, no one tackles, half the receivers drop balls left and right (and man I watched Nakua on Sunday…that dude was catching balls that were a bit behind him, DB’s all over him, fuck it he just stuck his hands out and grabbed so many … THAT’s what I want to see out of our receivers)…but just going back to AG, there is hardly anything to point to that we can hang our hat on and say, OK, THAT’s what I’m talking about! THAT is who we are going to be!

    There just isn’t.

I am totally fine and in fact would be super happy to see us move on next year instead of wasting another year and a few high draft picks hoping this gets better.

At this point, all I really want is an explanation to the following:

What, EXACTLY, is "Our Brand of Football?"

I hear him say it all the time but I'm not sure any of us understand what that means, to him.

Whatever it is I would suggest playing another brand of football. The crap they are putting out there isn't working.

    That's because it doesn't mean anything. It's just a coach-speak catchphrase.

At the end of the day the problem with the Glenn hire started with Woody Johnson. Woody Johnson ONLY wanted a head coach that would not allow Rodgers back. He was not interested in anyone that likely would have kept Rodgers (Mccarthy, Carroll, etc.). So the Jets did not hire the best candidate, they hired probably the lone candidate willing to fire Rodgers. All the other candidates that were more qualified did not get the job or even an interview. So for me I knew from day one that Glenn was a walking Red flag. Now would Rodgers have worked out here with Glenn? Probably not and would have been because of Glenn. Im happy Rodgers avoided the Glenn mess and allowed Glenn to expose himself rather pin it on Rodgers. If the Jets had hired a competent head coach with Rodgers they probably would be sitting in a position Pittsburgh is currently sitting in which is contending for the playoffs because clearly you can win and be a playoff contender with Rodgers if you have a real head coach which the Jets havent had in over a decade.

Regardless of Rodgers which is a thing of the past now (not trying to debate this, im happy he got away from the mess), IT FALLS BACK ON WOODY JOHNSON. He once again meddled in the coaching hiring process and rather than hire the best/most qualified candidate he hired the lone guy that would do his bidding. So for all the talk about Glenn being the alpha leader, HE IS NOT THAT. He is Woody's Beta bitch at the end of the day and he exposed himself. He needs to be fired. The Jets CANT let him coach another year, especially if the Jets get Mendoza. Do not let him near Glenn for the sake of this franchise. HIRE THE MOST QUALIFIED CANDIDATE in the offseason.

You guys are really gonna be miserable in the coming years. Woody isn't selling the team and he's not changing how he operates. That means Glenn isn't going anywhere anytime soon. Whining about it every day will accomplish nothing. Boycotts won't work. Flying airplanes trailing banners won't work. There is wisdom knowing the difference between what you can change, and what you can't.

At best, Glenn gets it after two years. At worst, he doesn't and will be fired. WWWD? Hire another newbie HC and we get the same movie one more time. You MIGHT get your wish after next year. You're wasting your time screaming for Glenn to be fired this year.

It ain't happening.. You're gonna have to accept the inevitable.

That's the thing, those of us who want him fired already know he won't be. We aren't whining per se just voicing our discontent. What would I do? Don't hire another rookie coach and get a Kingsbury, McCarthy type and yes I think that would solve a lot. Glenn isn't a good coach, it's painfully obvious at this point so our biggest concern is when he goes 2-7 to start the year next year and then we fire him that it potentially destroys another season and hopefully not our rookie QB in the process. Look, noone knows shit right now, all we can do is speculate on everything. Now if we lose the next 3 in ugly un competitive fashion and completely lay down then there should be a discussion about him coming back regardless because I just don't see how after ending the season with 5 awful losses anyone including Woody can have any confidence in him next year.

Let me explain how bad it could get. Trevor Lawrence was considered GENERATIONAL. None of the guys coming out, in the next couple years, are considered anything close to generational. 2026 for sure, we'll see about 2027. Trevor Lawrence is on his 3rd or 4th HC and who knows how many OC's. If it's taken until NOW for a generational QB, the screws we draft this/next year will be destroyed by a HC change. If there's even a remote chance they got it wrong with Glenn then they need to make that change right the fuck know the moment the final whistle blows on this travesty of a season. Full Stop.

Sad though, we all KNOW Johnson isn't an intelligent owner so, while we can all see the train wreck coming, we are powerless to do shit about it except change allegiances or sit back and live through it.

It's not going to be entertaining...

As @NOVAJET already said, we know he's not going anywhere. It doesn't mean that Woody is making the right decision by going that route. It also means that he's clearly not learning anything from past mistakes, because this is an exact repeat of retaining Saleh after the 2023 season.

But, even with all of that said, I think if they go out and have another complete no-show on Sunday, that the situation could change a little bit. They're going to get blown out against New England and Buffalo. If they end the season on five consecutive completely non-competitive performances in which the opposing team looks like they're running plays on air, that might be enough to change the line of thinking. That's what I'm rooting for at least, because we're past the point where this team needs to win games in order to improve and build something for the future. The only way this is getting fixed now is if changes are made at every level of the organization. Of course, that's not happening at the ownership level, but major change can occur everywhere else if this continues to be embarrassing for the rest of the season as it has been the last two weeks.

Of course, Glenn is almost certainly staying, but there's definitely an argument for making a change. This has been the worst coached Jets team in at least three decades.

There is a part of me that hopes Johnson does this very thing and then backs the brinks truck up to Kingsbury along with all those draft picks. THAT would be my dream scenario...

Klint Kubiak would be a great hire if Woody were smart enough to fire Glenn. Fat chance it happens though.
