I'm not saying Engstrand is a better OC than MLF was. I just think Engstrand is the least of our worries on the coaching side right now. As for why they haven't permanently benched fields - who knows. Maybe they actually are trying to tank.
This really is about all we have left at this point. If Glenn wants to actually BE a HC then his eye MUST be on the future. He needs to know what every single guy on his roster is worth. Practice squad included. This season is gone, he has his answer on Fields and they have resources for the next 2 years. He has to determine if it's a total tear down or if he has some serviceable guys. I've been as hard on him as anyone but I don't see any scenario he's not here next year. This IS Woody Johnson who is running this ship so you can write that down. Seeing as that's the case, I'm on your page. He's got to play everybody! Should be very enlightening.
