What they should have done in the FIRST place. Find the absolute best available X's and OFFENSE guy and back the Brinks truck up. It is the ONLY way this organization is ever going to crawl it's worthless ass out of the dung heap. If they can't do that then they are NOT committed to winning and I won't be here any longer to waste my time and energy. If the Johnson's do not give a fuck about the Jets then why should I? And I'm on record stating that it 100% pisses me off that they had to fuck over one of my favorite players of all time! However, there are 2 in this party and Glenn should have known better. He KNOWS he's in way over his head. I only hope this one year mess doesn't tarnish his playing reputation too much.
Absolutely not, hire a guy like McCarthy, Kingsbury, Kubiak, hell if Stefanski is fired hire him. Proven coach with an offensive background. Hiring a 1st time HC coordinator to the team is perpetuating the problem.
That doesn't mean that said coach doesn't suck ass and we shouldn't try again. There should be about 5 openings this year, each comes with 50 mil or so guaranteed. I understand we are not the 1st choice for most candidates, but last year Jax got Liam Coen after everyone already finalized their selection as he was late to the party. I think we can do better than below average DC from a team that wins with offense, who just had the worst year in team's history as a HC. Oh and the defense got a lot worse too, bottom 3 now, something Glenn had for 2 years, half of his time in Detroit. I will take my chances on a hiring a better coach.
