Where did anyone get that this is from an infection? There’s no chance in hell they would let him practice today if he had an infection. No structural damage to me means there was some bruising and discomfort but no actual damage to the organs or bones.
Theres definitely something wrong with this training staff. Way too may muscle injuries the last handful of years
He's back out there today practicing. From my understanding, majority of chest infections are minor issues that take a few days to resolve. Sometimes even faster depending on the severity. Could be the end result of him fighting off a cold or something similar.
I agree its silly & couldve been used to talk about a position group or player going under the radar. That said have been at alot of Jets training camps over the yrs & dont remember ever seeing victory formation & taking knees practiced at any length
See a few versions of that Moncrief catch being reported. Only Cimini says it was underthrown, though a couple do say bad coverage. Some things never change it seems.
I saw Coz say it was beautiful, Robby Sabo say it was a little behind and Cimini say it was underthrown. Par for the course with NY beat writers.
If the receiver doesn't have the corner toasted, then an under thrown ball in single coverage with no high safety, isn't a bad thing. Not sure if it's necessarily by design and I don't want to take that leap, but in single coverage (whether man or cover 3 where the safety is no where to be found), I'd rather the receiver have a shot than watch it sail over his head Josh Allen style. EDIT: I'm sure it also has to do with the fact that Sam's thrown to a billion receivers in his three training camps. It can be hard to gauge speeds of so many different guys.
Interesting to see Gase say that they are still debating on putting a "quarterback quarantine" in place for the season. Has been discussed a lot throughout the league.
The Perriman news is not good at all. I mean not having any structural issues is ok but if it's swelling randomly, he's either going to have to play through it or take a hike. Edit: Yea, it's not good at all.
Sounds like he's going to be on the shelf for a month. Any idea as to what exactly happened? Was it non contact or did he bang knees with someone?
he may have but nothing specific was ever reported. One day he was just out with knee swelling and it was “he’ll be back tomorrow“ and then it was “he will be back Saturday“ and now it’s “I guess I was way off on that one“. That’s why I can’t even take it seriously when Gase says he’s not worried about it because he already blew it the first time around.
