Stop trying to be just so "cute" with your stupid tread titles. Nobody thinks you're adorable. We're not your Mommy. It's just annoying.

I'm very enthusiastic about most everything I read daily here on TGG about training camp. Many thanks to all the contributors for their research and inputs.
While disheartening to see Mims on the sidelines, is refreshing to see many of the young WRs making big plays. I think Hogan, Perriman, Crowder and our tight ends along with Cager and even Barrios are making things very interesting. If our running game flourishes the WR corps might become a very pleasant surprise in my view. I know, its training camp and its work in progress and shortened by the virus in their ability to jell, but I can feel the fire in their bellies is definitely there. No longer do I see players coming to camp out of shape and some malcontent to boot. Offensively, Gase will be under the microscope for play calling this season. He needs to leverage our TE play and running game to open up the WRs more.
Hope Mims returns soon and gets up to speed quickly to back up Hogan first, till he is ready to turn the after burners on and open up the field..
CB and WR play along with the lines will be my area of focus, with Sam at the center of it all. Cant wait to see this young, energetic and passionate group get it all together as A TEAM as the season progresses. Here is to a hard fought first victory in Buffalo to erase the bitterness of last year loss.
    Go Jets

No clue but I’m fine with it. But as with every other receiver, he’s hurt so expectations are immediately tempered.

Cager likely just needed to adjust to the speed of the NFL but its good he has come on. Jets need all the capable WR's they can get.

Good to know we're already practicing having our touchdowns get called back due to penalties.

Legitimate question, if Cager turns out to be an NFL caliber WR will all the posters crying about not taking a WR in the fourth round shut up?

  12. legitimate question can we wait for him to actually do something meaningful beyond just outleaping 2nd & 3rd stringers before rationalizing the worst WR group in the NFL in the name of a UDFA who hasnt played a single game??

Funny, All the “Whiners” who think WR is an afterthought & that it can wait til next year EVERY year are clinging onto dear life w a damn undrafted player.Step back & think about that for a second. What healthy reasonable WR situation has that sort of dynamic? And its not anything new

Why should we? Just because he proves that he's an NFL-caliber WR doesn't mean that he will ever be good enough to start or be more than a role player. Perriman may only be here one year. Mims hasn't even practiced yet. The NFL is a passing league and right now, we have the worst WR corps in the NFL.

As opposed to you, some of us actually understand the game of football and understand that one needs good offensive and defensive skill position players to be a serious contender.

Because it was very unlikely that a WR drafted in the fourth round was going to amount to much of anything.
If JD gets even. #3 or #4 WR as an UDFA is a whole lot better than using a pick that amounts to the same or worse. People act like he ignored the position, when he drafted one in 2nd round and picked up 2 potential NFL caliber as UDFA’s

But I guess you answered the question that you will still be crying about it 3 years from now.

  15. so the 4th round WR(In a deep WR draft mind you) wont amount to anything but signing 2 UDFAs is a strong commitment to improving the position?

    mmm kay.

Why is unlikely that WR drafted in the 4th round wasn't likely to amount to something, yet 2 UDFA WRs will. That's some crazy reasoning powers and logic you've got there.

Besides, JD could have taken a WR in the 3rd, and he took a serious risk of losing Mims in the 2nd.

The only reason I would still be complaining about it 3 years from now would be if Perriman plays well and they don't re-sign him, sign another quality FA WR like Allen Robinson, or JD doesn't draft a WR in either the 1st or 2nd round and another in the 3rd round in 2021.

I thought he would address it seriously next offseason even before all the injuries in TC. Now I know he will.

Knowing the way the draft board fell, I really really wish we moved POS Adams to Dallas for their first.

I think they would since everything would have worked out. It would be amazing if Cager and Mims work out well and become starters. Then you can still improve the #1 WR spot in 2021, but you'd have pretty good depth too. I understand the fans who wanted another WR in the draft though. It was so deep at the position and a huge position of weakness for the Jets.

Not sure, but I would say I told you so a thousand times over.

I've been saying it since we signed him

I wouldn't call Adams a cancer but there's no doubt if he were still here without a contract that would be the dominating storyline out of Jets camp so far.

So far, so good but we need Ws around here it's been quite a long time since we had a good season.
