They're doubling Melo as much as they can. Nobody out there who scares them from 3

Melo's shot still off. Can't tell what's wrong, probably just needs to get more into the flow

Hey you don't turn it over, good things happen. Only down 14. Get it to 10 or less by haflimte and you are good to go Knicks.

BARGS is one fire! Wolves looking hard at Melo, and Bargs is getting open looks because of it. Some 2012 Knicks offense here

Knicks cut it to 15 point deficit. MWP and Andrea are having themselves a game! Shump and Chandler have 3 fouls a piece. Melo is playing horrific. Has freed up Bargs a few times through

Also in theory KMART + Chandler sounds like great defense, but our worst stretches seems to be when they share the court because offensively, you really aren't afraid for them outside the paint.

When you give another team a 23 point lead, you need to get a few bounces, Knicks aren't getting that

Knicks basically played horribly for 12 minutes and well for about 6 minutes, and you're not going to win that way.

Yeah if you take away the first quarter, the Knicks kept the game close but that 1st Q counts

Woodson should be ashamed of himself the way the Knicks came out of that timeout - dribbling around aimlessly, not going for the offensive rebound on the shot, not fouling when Minnesota got the ball, having the defensive rebound taken away from them by lack of hustle, etc.

Knicks have it when they play their not dumb lineups and Woodson doesn't experiment.

Let's end the KMART/Chandler idea. If you are going to use KMART limited, why play his limited minutes with Chandler? Use him to help Bargs/Melo combo instead of creating two black holes of offense with Chandler/KMART. That makes his minutes less valuable playing with Chandler.

The weird thing was that Woodson started a "big" lineup with Bargs instead of Pablo because of the T'Wolves, but then to close the game he went with our "small" lineup with Pablo instead of Bargs to close it.

Need to cut down on the turnovers

I wonder what's leading to the HUGE turnover increase from last year. Hoepfully it's just people getting used to each other

Oh well, gotta bounce back. There's a difference between staying in striking distance like CHI and just coming out flat like today. The defense also can't get into early foul trouble and put teams in the penalty early. You saw some of the great Knicks play from last year when you know we played those lineups.

MWP and Bargs were the definite positives. Definitely need to find a way to keep on getting them minutes when JR comes back. Also, need to get back to the triple screen and horn plays late in a game. They rely too much on Melo (obviously) and Felton and Chandler PnR (less obvious). Teams are getting better shutting down Chandler rolling meaning Felton needs to find the next open man and not just dribble out.

First step, fix the lazy mistakes. That's just unacceptable after 2 days off heading into a night home game. Gotta be better at stopping opponents runs

Should be a relatively easy game tonight against Charlotte, Melo needs to get his shit together though he's playing like garbage early.

Surprised Chandler didn't get a tech there after the block.

Melo ice cold, Shump and Bargs feeling it

Tyson Chandler banged knee with Kemba, limped off the court to the bench. Iced it for a bit, limped to lockeroom.

After starting off cold, Melo feeling it. Uhh Amare defensively is still Amare defensively. Too much watching, not even doing stuff

And Tyson's X ray is inconcclusive. First problem outside of Tyson

    a) Woodson said KMART isn't playing today, but we dressed him instead of Cole, a defensive center

    b) Chris Smith made our 15 man roster, really could use another big right now on that roster

    c) Oh boy without Tyson, no interior defense.
