Anecdotal, but the BK wave hasn't swept NY in my daily life. It's still the New York Knicks town, just now Nets fans are louder, which 100% makes sense and they should be. I haven't seen anyone switch and the bandwagoners are just biding their time which is what they do
http://www.grantland.com/blog/the-t...nicks-potential-problems-this-year-and-beyond Long article about the Knicks.
Is there any possibility they might cancel the NBA season? I pray for this every year. Last year my prayers were almost answered. Basketball is such a complete snooze-fest. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz .....
Felton, Prigs, Shump, Melo, Chandler starting lineup tonoght. According to Marc Berman a beat writer, he said if the Bucks played a bigger lineup Woodson said he would have started Bargs. That means with JR suspended, Bargs, MWP, Hardaway Jr., Amare, Kmart, Beno off the bench. I might be forgetting someone too
I barely watch basketball. But how in hell can Dolan expect a championship from Knicks this year? Look at this lineup.
24-18 after 1 quarter. 10 players played (not Amare) partially because Shump+Melo got 2 fouls. MWP, Shump, Chandler, Prigs+1 lineup was really fun to watch defensively. Tons of ball pressure, rarely was a person out of place defensively
56-31 after 1 half. Key differences from last year I noticed so far: Knicks looking to push the pace more Knicks putting more pressure on opponents point guards when they try to establish a play Shumpert's dribbling has improved and he hasn't blown a fast break with awkward dribbles or bad decisions like last year We'll see if any of this actually lasts a game let alone a season. Knicks have had large leads last year and let teams get back into it before, they need to have a great 3rd Q to put the game away
Knicks only up 74-64 after 3 quarters. Bucks 31 in the 1st half, 33 in the 3rd. Tough 3rd Q, if I Remember correctly, the Knicks suffered in 3rd Qs last year. Defense just wasn't there and a 4/5 of Melo/Bargs leaves lots of room in the paint and MIL too advantage
NBA officials have been told to call traveling on the shuffling of feet - 10 travels called tonight. Knicks aren't just sloppy - they've been lazy on both ends of the floor too. Now a good steal and good follow by Chandler and the Knicks have a 1 point lead.
Well they won, which I guess is a positive. The high amount of turnovers plus the low amount of 3s is a stark contrast compared to last year. Tyson looks rejuvenated, hopefully he doesn't get the flu before the playoffs for the 3rd straight year. If this is how we play tomorrow vs Chicago, they're gonna beat us up and down the court and the game will be over in the 3rd.
