The point of it all is not trying to hide anybody on offense. Its about keeping guys fresh so when the 4th quarter comes they are not tired. You see we ran Hibert up and down the court and he got tired and basically was flat after that, he isnt built to be sprinting up and down the floor like Chandler is. Drive the ball into the interior and have them commtit fouls. They can run with us when we play our game. If they want to post up or play a half court game then good we will just keep running and gunning. We had a ton more fast breaks this game then the prior games. Us trying to match up man to man on hibert ain't happening . We also still haven't played Camby or that guy we acquired right before the playoffs. Those players can give us time and that's also 6 fouls a piece they have. Instead of letting Chandler and Martin and Melo take all the fouls. Sometimes you just have to believe in your players and all we have to do is steal a win in Indy and its basically a one game playoff to advance at home.
^^ Good point on transtition. Since the Pacers don't want to match up traditionally with us (PG on PG, SG on SG, etc etc) pushing the ball causes confusion and automatic mismatches. West has to run back to cover Shump, but Shump is probably crossing midcourt before West realizes what's going on. That puts a traditional someone else on shump leading to a mismatch with West on Felton, Melo, or Chandler. If West is on Chandler Hibbert is on a guard/shooter. Domino effect.
Woodson has to believe and you can see a big difference in the players when they having fun out there. The game comes easy and its like play ground basketball for them. Hopefully we get this next win
Well, we knew since game 1 we'd have to steal one on the road to win the series. It HAS to be this one. We win this in Indy, we'll have the advantage going into game 7 back at home. It doesn't get more critical than this. The knicks have made history this year, will they do it again and be the first Knicks team to ever come back from a 1-3 deficit? Could it be scripted any better? Go Knicks!
Melo 5/5 after my post. I'm a great motivator. On the other hand, Chandler was benched. Tyson has shown nothing today, that sucks. Only down 2 points after 1 quarter. Not that bad
We have Kidd and Amare out there with JR, Cope, and KMART. Let's see where the offense comes from and whether or not the D can hold together
It's an elimination game. Down by 2 and HIbbert leaves the game is not time to get Amare and Kidd burn, it's time to take the lead and drive to the hoop with the right players.
