What bothers me is that the guy was being threatened with jail if he didn't testify. If they had some evidence other then coerced testimony I would be fine with it. As Mitchell never said that they did I would assume that they don't.
It's obvious Yankee fans can't stand that their players are being dragged through the mud. My advice to you guys is to take this with a grain of salt. There is no valid proof that any of these guys did it unless they A) Tested positive B) Admitted to using
OMG... This guy is a total fraud!!! they asked him about his conflict since he works for the Red Sox.... he immediately starts defending reasons why there's so many players from NY... that wasn't the question stupid!!! Typical CYA from a politician....
Lets see they have Giambi, the biggest poster boy juice bag not named Bonds. Or do Yankee fans think he didn't do roids?
Come on man. Seriously. I noticed you left Varitek off the list of "faces of the franchise". Obviously, I can't argue the point of your stars, since none were named, but you obviously do not understand the term "conflict of interest".
If you can't see that the reason that there are so many Yankees on the list (really only one TRUE Yankee, Pettitte) is because one of the two main sources that cooperated was a Yankee trainer, then you need to take off the pinstriped blinders. The only one on the list that I would be upset about as a Yankee fan is Pettitte. He's actually the only Yankee I like. The rest though are just mercenaries.
Nobody is denying Giambi is a juicer. Hell, he was the only player who went and talked face to face with Mitchell. If you're not seeing how the Yankees were targeted in this release, you're either 1) not trying, or 2) enjoying it more than enough.
I left Varitek off because- 1. He's more low key as far as things like that go. 2. I don't consider him one because I don't really like him a lot. I could have put him on though and my point would still stand since he wasn't listed. EDIT- If he was trying to make the Sox look good, why put that in about Epstien? Answer that and I'll agree about the conflict.
I could care less how many Yankees were on the list as long as the process was fair... it clearly wasn't.... for as important as this process was are you telling me they couldn't of found ANYONE who didn't have a tie to a MLB team
Honestly I think if anything the investigator SHOULD have ties to the game. That gives a better understanding of how things work and more "inside access". I know that I'm in the minority on this, but I don't see the big deal.
Oh, my goodness gracious! Of all the dramatic things, of all the dramatic things I've ever seen, Roger Clemens is bent over in George Steinbrenner's box having a trainer stick a needle in his ass!!!!
Phillips just said that he doesn't believe this is a comprehensive report either. He thinks there were Mets that should have been on it and who knows better then he.
