This is a terrible argument. Just because he didn't hit 40 HRs his first years in the league doesn't mean he juiced. Not everyone starts off hitting 40 HRs a year.
Here's the funny thing. "They" said no names would be in the list that they didn't have proof about. Bonds name is there. Does that mean there is no need for a trial because Mitchell has the proof on him? He should just cop a plea now. If not, how does his name in that list prejudice his trial?
Yeah, and that's the problem. If there isn't proof then it's just a witch hunt and makes the whole report subject to ridicule and charges of favoritism.
You really have to be naive to believe this guy is basing his entire 20 month investigation on word from 2 fired trainers. This guy likely has reciepts, checks, calenders, etc....
I'm not arguing that he is using, it was all one reason why he could be on the list. Mybe the Twins released him because they knew he was juicing. Who the fuck knows. He isn't even the list so it's all erroneus.
here's the big problem with this, and maybe because i haven't been following closely enough.........but was exactly does this list represent?? isn't this a "list" of ball players who have received shipments or deliveries of roids from that dude who started out as a Met Trainer? isn't he the source of all this info? I mean it's definitely not a list of guys who tested positive for roids or were caught using or in possesion, right? lends itseld o many lawsuits and safe to say there are probably a bunch of ball players outt here who used and aren't on that list, and who are now laughing their asses off I guess I need to hear all the details about the sources
It appears that many guys that contributed to the Yankee dynasty are on the list. It's really a shame....
New York Yankees 26 World Series championships (*) (*) most of them with clean players
thats the same with almost all the world series the past decade or so. Look at the Cardinals* Redsox*
Just because players are good and on a team you don't like doesn't make them automatically on steroids. I'm not going around accusing Jeter or Rivera. Use some common sense. Alio- As for Varitek, I did say that he had a clean cut image, but I also said I could see him taking something. Either way, I'm still not going to take this list as true. They've already said there were "several errors" so it's worthless. Until the official report comes out, it's all speculation.
lol...Canseco is at Mitchell's news conference. As ESPN just said it has now officially become a circus.
Fair enough bro. I was actually just messing with you with that one. Truthfully, I'm not happy with any of the names on the list. I wouldn't be happy no matter who made it on there. The fact is, this is a big black mark on major league baseball, and it's bad for the game. The question is: where do we go from here? What is going to happen when the steroid use actually stops (because let's be honest, we all know guys are still doing it)? What is that going to do to the talent level around the league? Expansion has watered down things as it is. ARod, Manny, and Ortiz might hit 80 HRs a year for the next decade, while ERAs explode into the range where 4.00+ is considered good. Ugh. This is a mess.
