I was at the game and let me tell you there is no way if Chad made that throw that McCareins would have been able to be in a position to make the moves he did. The Cb's would have been on top of him by the time the ball go there. The difference is like Night and day with Clemens throwing the ball as opposed to Chad.

Give me a break...the CB WAS there but missed the tackle.

If Chad threw it Cb would have been in front of the ball and taking it back for a T/D! Chad was scared to throw after the second Interception and Mangini rightfully took his sorry a** out!

I just love people crying up a storm over a preseason game. I almost can't wait until the day that Pennington isn't the starter so I can see the same people here complaining about his replacement. The most popular player on the team is always the backup QB because it's easy to blame everything on the starter. It's quite comical actually.

I agree -- Except I would not take Big Ben (he threw 12 times a game in his ONE good year); bulger (not a believer), McNair (and you think Chad gets hurt too much), Eli (just not that good) or Favre (at this point in his career)

For all the readers who wonder where all the long passing routes are, remember who our first real game is against. You will not see a single play in preseason that will look anything like the "real jets" come opening day. Mangini will NEVER give BB that gift.

How could you possibly take Pennington over Bulger in any way?

I never wanted to see Mike Taliferro, Pat Ryan or Jay Fiedler ever step on the field for the Jets.

agreed. hes pennington with a stronger arm as far as im concerned. sure, he has probably the best all around back in the league in Jackson, and two of the elite WR's to play in the last decade. but the guy makes great throws and I like what he does.

im not saying hes hands down better than pennington, but i think he could manage to throw multiple more TD's than INT instead of just 1.

I never implied they were going against the same level of competition. My point was just how bad Chad actually looked, with Clemens looking not a whole lot better against the second team.

Nothing wrong with a Chad bash that is fair. My primary gripe with Chad is he cannot throw into the end zone against the defenses of today when the Jets are inside the 10. He is constantly throwing fade type passes to 6'0" reveivers because he cannot stick it
