thats what stood out to me when looking him up post-draft, he's incredibly cerebral out there about how he rushes the passer or otherwise. he's not a bull rush or bust kind of guy that'll try to beat his man off his high motor and strength alone, he's patient and methodical about how he plays the run or rushes and knows where to position his body to put himself in the best position to stymie any particular offensive play.

heres a great video I found on him months ago, it really made me realize how much of a steal he really was:

Leo was BPA manna from heaven (thank you Redskins) and GM Mac stuck to his guns. Leo not only dominanted in an elite Pac 12 conference, he did so at the tender age of 20.

    Upside anyone?

Leonard Williams is a STUD. I wonder if Seattle would do Graham for Wilkerson/Richardson down the road if things don't work out for them with Graham.

Graham would be so happy. Go from one OC who doesn't use TEs to another OC who... doesn't use TEs.

I'm assuming they would also be sending 2 first round picks? Normally people don't trade gold for shit.

I'm thinking anybody who was asked that question would give a non-committal answer. You don't want to give the opposition information about your team. If Mo confirms a sprained ankle he's just helped out the Redskins a bit.

bowles actually said sprain in the post game. The Redskins minds are already full of Sheldon and Mo. The only Jet I can think of who would give a dissertation on another player's injuries (or salary) is Sheldon. He also calls the occasional timeout.

lol Graham was just a suggestion. I don't see us keeping all 3 of Wilkerson/Richardson/Williams. I would trade Wilkerson for a young proven player on offense

Wilkerson and a first rounder to get up to the #1 pick and take Jared Goff.

Apparently Leonard has been a lot better than I thought. Pro Football Focus has him as their highest graded rookie:
    https://www.profootballfocus.com/bl...ookie-of-the-year-candidates-entering-week-5/

    "Leonard Williams, DE, Jets (+10.7)
Williams rocketed up the list with the best performance of any rookie all year in Week 4. The Jets’ DE showed how destructive he can be against the pass, with a phenomenal five hits and four hurries against the Dolphins in London."

And Mel Kiper Jr. has him as his #1 performing rookie so far. I'm a little surprised by that. When Sheldon was a rookie he absolutely jumped off the screen at me with dominant play. Williams has flashed at times, but has mostly flown under the radar optics wise. He must really be doing a solid job on his assignments.

yeah Williams is better as a rookie than Wilk was but so far Richardson's rookie year seems better.

But it's only 4 games in. If he stays healthy it ought be Sheldon-like.
