The Leon Washington Appreciation Thread

Even though I recognize that we likely improved the position, I'm going to miss the guy. I hope he recovers, although there will be a whole lot of second guessing and bitching on here if he returns to form.

Leon's game changing ability will be missed for sure. It's been a pretty tight secret of how far away he is from recovery, but I think he'll be successful in Seattle. Thanks for the years.

My favorite Jet for the last few years...Not even sure what to do with his jersey...I wish him best of luck in the NFC.

 

You keep the jersey ... just like you would for any of the greats in Jets history ... because Leon is & will always be a great Jet.

I'll never forget him coming out on the field on crutches during that final home game to massive cheers. We'll miss you, Leon.

 

Would have definitely preferred to have kept Leon, but I think it s clear he and the organization never saw eye to eye on his abilities and usefulness, and the only way it ever was going to end was Leon leaving. it's too bad.

the team was never going to make him a featured back, and thus pay him as such, and that is what he wanted.

been a jets fan for 25 years. Leon made me an EXCITED fan. leon29jets is my screen name on several sites. ah well what lasts.....

 

Hopefully Leon starts in Seattle and White gets about 10 carries per game too. That would be a lethal combo imo. His fantasy value just boomed too
