I second this notion... I lived outside of Philly for a year- they tried to tell me how the Eagles are better than the Jets, and then I pointed out the SB Trophy and the QB that glamorized the position and they shut up..... for 5 minutes and continued to ramble on about how "the birds" are a great team.

I hear you. I lived in SD back in the late 70s. It's was like there was a whole community of exiled Long Islanders up in Normal Heights (Adams Ave.).

We'd go to the ball games when the Mets came to town and it seemed like their was always more Mets fans than Padres fans, although to be honest the Pads did blow dogs back then.

That's the skunk hat I'm looking for except it's an Eagles one. :metal:

Good ol' Normal heights. Mother in law lives in University Heights.

i think stopping McFadden will do it more, but Jeaux won't be around by week 6 when the Raiders blow and he doesn't want to hear it from us. PM him instead.

The Jets own the Chargers in SD -- and whoever said it earlier is right - SD fans suck...they are so ignorant. I live in LA and have been there for the past 2 reg season games - both wins - and its a blast. There's so many east coast transplants that live in LA, OC and SD that the stadium is probably about 30-40% Jets fans.

I remember during that 02 demolition of the Chargers after Herms classic speech, right before Lamont Jordan broke off a 70 yard TD run in garbage time, there were Chargers fans still talking shit. They were down by 27 points, and yelling "at least we still have a winning record." Well, they were 6-2 before that game and they missed the playoffs. We all know what happened with the Jets that year. The best part was all the Jets fans running down to the first level of seats after that Jordan TD doing the J-E-T-S chant. Chargers fans don't demand any respect, and in turn they get none.

I'll definitely be there for this Monday night game, and honestly it doesn't matter if the Chargers are better...they can't overcome the Jets fans in the stadium and i'm sure we'll get the best of em again. They're overrated anyway. Go Jets.
