All are winnable games, but the Jets need to stay focused. Crazy thing is, the Jets actually have an outside shot at home field advantage yet. The titans have a couple of easy games next, but they close out the season vs. Pittsburgh and at the Colts. Jets now own the tiebreaker over them, so advantage goes to us.
Actually the Jets should have scored more than they did, could have easily been 41-13 or worst, great game Jets!!!
We just out played them. Beat them pretty nicely , 34-13 against an undefeated 10-0 team who were home. Tells me where foreal and wont go down without a fight.
they did what I was screaming about all year.... put the offense back on the field to end tha game... its was nearly perfect. The confidence in this team in unmatched. Not even the Giants feel like this. And fuck everyone who picked against us.
Jets proved that they are a legit contender today. They need to keep it up, keep winning. Teams are going to be gunning for them now. They're no longer that team sneaking up under the radar.
To be honest, I'm really surprised Tennessee didn't try to use the same mismatches on the other side by running their athletic TEs against our LBs in coverage more often.
they did, but they dropped 2 of them and I think another was called back due to penalties... I wish Rhodes would cover the TE and have Elam or Barrett roll to the other side.... it may make the difference.. There are no complaints today though, its nearly impossible.
I disagree. If things keep going like this, we will be cheering for the Steelers over the Titans so we can be #1!!
Well we are 8-3, in first place in the AFC East, and we have a top 5 Dfense and scoring Offense.... Dare I say it.................Welcome back Mangenious!
Sorry, I'm with statjeff22 on this one. Make sure we grab the #2 from the Steelers. They have it now, and if they beat the Titans, that means they're probably good enough to keep hanging onto it. Only way I change my mind is if by some miracle -- and by that I mean MIRACLE -- the Lions beat the Titans on Thursday. Then I start thinking about us being in serious contention for #1 and wanting to see the Steelers knock them down further.
i really believe the 2 seed is as good as the 1....first of all worst case we play tenn on the road which is fine by me....secondly i really think the titans get knocked off early
Great performance obviously. The Jets put all aspects together to win this one. So many guys to call out: Eric Barton: this is the first good thing I've ever said about you and that's what--10 years? You may have finally become an NFL inside linebacker to be feared. Ty Law: did they throw to you all game? What--were you miked into the Tenn huddle and knew exactly what pattern every guy was running? Darrelle: Even the catch over the middle--when its on slow mo, you're still trying to knock it out of the guys hands at the end--you are the pro-bowl CB and we all know it. Dustin: You are the shit--you are clutch--keep it up baby! OL: what kind of sick holes were you able to open up against this D? What the hell-it looked like old Redskins football to me--the counter to Richardson was the cherry on top. Leon: you are a little beast! What a scamper! We are so lucky to have you--lets sign you to a 10 year extension--I don't ever want to see you in anything by green and white. Brett: you are an amazing QB and truly showed incredible diversity today--the head fakes, pump fakes, lightning fast reads and throws, touch passes--you did it all and demonstrated once again, why you are HOF. Wallace Wright: mr. consistency on getting down there and making the tackle. You are pro-bowl ST man and we all know it. TJ: that was some pretty fierce running my man. LC: what a force you are when inspired. KJ, CP, BT (never quit on that tackle), Lowery, oh- Abram: you proved yourself today in all facets--what a find you are! Coaching staff--I can only say its about time and I hope you bring it again next week. The team you have put together is one that noone wants to play when we're clicking like today. Good job shotty. WAY TO GO JETS FANS! WHAT A SEASON THUS FAR!
We will lose at least one, possibly two or more of those games. Two are tough division matchups- we could take them both, but it'd be really tough... 5-1 in the division would be ridiculous considering the strength of the East... We also have two West Coast games. Even though they are against bad teams, it's never easy to go East to West to East to West to East over the span of a few weeks..... Even the best teams can get worn down from too much travel.... Plus, I could definitely see a let down next week against a tough Denver team after 2 hard fought, emotional wins....
