We still don't know what that little aside about Clemens in the lead article is based on. I have been listening for some leak or info for a couple of years now about what the view of Clemens is, and I've yet to hear anything authoritative. Is this? Who said it?

If these 2 do not wow the coaches and that is what it is going to take, then they will go FA, and probably draft a QB. I'd rather have Kerry Collins in FA than have a wait and see with your approach with Clemens. Kerry is a proven QB. Clemens still has an incomplete grade and his recent work hasn't been good. I think if we ask the Jet Players who have to play the game would rather have Kerry Collins over Clemens. C'mon man, you know you would rather have Kerry too.
Shefter said they believe Clemens will win the job easily. These guys are just trying to make news; it's their job.
who's evaluating mobility?? I made reference in a prior post as to why Pennington and Clemens aren't comparable in their styles...and what they bring to the table as far as QB talent. Clemens is mobile and has an arm...Penny does not. And then you started throwing 40 times into your posts...and trying to justify stuff that wasn't even being discussed. you need a couple crayons and a coloring book in the worst way.
YOU tried to say how "mobile" Lemons is and I posted his 40 time to show you that in reality he is slower than whale shit. No wonder the CFL only has 8 teams - people who know anything about football up there are few and far between. The bottom line is this. To the "give Clemens a chance" crowd, the burden of proof is on you. He has 3 years and an open QB competition under his belt, and has showed NO signs of progression whatsoever. If anything, he has taken steps backward and has done nothing to deserve "a fair chance".
First of all...Kerry doesn't know the system, Clemens does. Secondly, Collins is over the hill. And thirdly, IMHO, his skills have diminished (i saw enough of him when the Jets tore the Titans a new one last year). I don't want some garbage retread QB'ing this team next season.

He is the most credible person surrounding the team in any capacity. I hope Clemens gets a fair shot.
Mangini isn't trading ANYTHING to us. Forget it. Not gonna happen. A cheap vet will be brought in on a 1-year deal. Schotty and Cavanaugh will be working tons with Ratliff, IMO
We Have A New Coach What System is that Kerry is much better than Clemens and he is a stop gap until we do something better. To compare the two when one got his team to the Championship Game and the other QB is in a QB competition is.........
Jay Cutler has never done a thing would you rather Collins over him as well. We are not going to the Championship so what we have in Clemens or Ratliff has to be found out next season. This is a rare opportunity to actually do something right for a change like winning franchises do.
