Bad move if it involves picks for next year.

If we grab Tyson Jackson over Sanchez and Curry, heads will roll.

If this goes down, which I have a feeling it will, the pick will be Sanchez, there is no one else that would be worth it to us. We need a QB more than anything. It won't be Crabtree or Curry or one of the big OT.

I don't agree in any way shape or form in a trade up, and that is for any player.

If Jets brass think he is a franchise qb, then they DEFINITELY SHOULD trade up.

Also, do the Jets have the financial ability to fork over that much guaranteed $?

I don't mind a trade up if we don't deal next year's first. If we do trade up though, we do need to choose the right player and at #2 that's Curry or Sanchez. The only other player I wouldn't throw the TV out the window over would be BJ Raji, but even he would be questionable.

I feel like this is being put out by people from the Rams camp to try to convince the Redskins to move up. They already tried that smokescreen with buying Sanchez the plane ticket.

It makes no sense to move up to 2 when you can move up to 3 or 4 and get the same guy unless we're not going after Sanchez.

I hope this doesn't happen. I just want to stay put and take whatever is the highest rated player left on the board. It's not like our needs are limited, so there is no reason to reach for a player, or to FUCKING TRADE UP TO THE #2 SPOT AND KILL OUR CAP!!!

Seriously, I never want the Jets to have a top 10 pick again until there is a rookie cap limit in place.

The Redskins would have a major problem if they move up to 2. Sanchez would command a contract not too far off from the obscene money Stafford just got.
Major, major money tied into two players- Haynesworth and Sanchez.

Dan Snyder won't be able to go crazy in free agency next year, so they cannot be 2010 Offseason Champions.

Trading in the NFL almost always screws the buyer and helps the seller. There are exceptions, but this is not a competition that is dominated by teams that trade well. It's a competition dominated by teams that draft well.

Every year, the Redskins have no cap room, then Snyder just does some ridiculous stuff and reworks contracts to increase their cap room. You can never underestimated that man.

I suppose you're right. Maybe that '10 Offseason title is something they can still strive towards.

This is verifiably false. It's much closer to 50-50. Saying it's "almost always" one way or the other is nonsense.

And btw, the Jets have traded up in both of Tanny's drafts before this one and the results have been quite positive. In other words, the Jets were the "buyers" the past two years and it worked out quite well for them.
