Maannnn, it's all good, I know your not trying to shit on me, lol, this is what message boards are for... We are two Jet fans who feel different about the team and NOTHING is wrong with that, lol, its the offseason

Im a fan who is confident in the run game and O-Line while being worried about our WR talent/Deph

And your the other way around

And as far as the Defense goes...I think the addition of Bart Scott will improve the whole front 7 including the pass rush and lets not forget Vernon Gholston, Rex Ryan may have that kid playing like a Suggs before its all said and done

I like what ur sayin about Gholston, I think DE with the first or second pick would not hurt at all, I feel that picking up a veteren wr would be efficient and cheaper for us as well. Drafting one would be a bad idea

^ I'm sorry, that pic is just hilarious.

We need WRs. Maybe not necessarily from the draft, but I don't think you want to see what will happen to our offense with a noob QB and the WRs we currently have.

Add all the quarterbacks and wide receivers on the team together and you have a total of 1 veteran player. Obviously people are going to be worried about the offense.

there is plenty to worry about... the most important position in all of sports is not settled yet again in Jet land.

You can't win more than 8 games with an unsettled QB position.

On the wrong side of 30?

Do you even know what that means?????

This team has been missing one thing on offense.

Someone that can line up wide and stretch the perimeter.

They THINK Clowney can be that guy, but he needs to stay healthy.

They Can Draft that guy, and have 2, and with Clemens or Ratliff, this is a 24 point a game team.

Which they would have been all of last year with better play calling and a full offseason by the QB.

the QB change is big....sort of. A younger guy will be better in the last 5, and not quite as good in the first 11....But you should expect 80% of the first 11, with the same offense this year.

Tell me about the carries TJ got in his first several seasons....

    we won 9 last year.

With an unsettled QB positon. NO off season, no training camp.

And the rumor is an injury (and suspect game planning late in the year (SEATTLE))...cost us a couple more.

This is a very good offense with either Clemens or Ratliff.....

Donald Brown would be a great pick. I was fortunate enough to watch him at every home game this year and he was absolutely fantastic running the ball.

I agree, our offense is not as bad as everyone makes it out to be; but people are still crying. Oh well.

I actually completely agree with a lot of this. I think it is obsurd to expect a superbowl every single year. The New York Jets are STILL in a time of progression. The Jets have traded away Pennington and lost Brett Favre to retire in the matter of MONTHS. Getting a franchise QB ISN'T AS SIMPLE AS TAKING ONE IN THE FIRST ROUND! Not every first round QB ends up being a "Franchise QB".

The Jets MUST give Kellen Clemens a chance. We invested a 2nd round pick and him! He started on one of the worst offensive line units I have EVER seen. Hello? Adrien Clarke and Anthony Clement?!

    Give Kellen a chance!

After reading the whole thread, i've concluded i'm a lot like the op except he's got the balls to say what I really feel. RB is a greater need, defense should be priority, our WRs are fine, our QBs are fine.

    :metal: on, OP.

Jones averaged 4.5 per carry last season, so that falls into your 4-5 yards, correct? Jones is getting older but he is not "over the hill" as you stated earlier. Cotchery is not a #1 wr no matter how you spin it and he's not a burner as you tried to imply.

Your op was written poorly and most of your points are dumb. Sorry, I'm just a blunt person. There are good receivers in this years draft besides crabtree, and if nicks is on the board at 17 he should be the pick.

The sad part is, every one saying not to worry will be the same ones calling for ryans and shottys jobs if we go 6-10 because we couldn't put up more than 21 points and lost games with scores like 17-13

I watched the games as did you, Jones was not consistant at all and it drove me crazy all season, dont be sorry for being blunt usually people turn to criticizing peoples grammer and or calling them dumb when they really cant argue back and are agitated when they are wrong, people will have different opinions from you get used to it. Don't come at me with stats because we all know they can be deceiving, if you honestly thought Jones was fucking amazing and carried this team then great. I never implied cotchery was a burner I implied he, stuckey and clowney have speed and can catch the ball, actually cotch has great hands at that, why would you need a big flashy burner of a wr with so many other options?

anyway I didnt want to be a dick but you decided to shit on me like a prick for no reason, no hard feelings bro

I wont be calling for anyones head because we all know this all is 50/50, we are going in with unproven guys as starters, well as of now, we wont really know untill after the draft, they could draft an OL with the first who knows.
