No need to apologize. I TOTALLY understand where you're coming from. Maybe I'm just letting my hopes influence my vision, but I really think that Mac is going to be different and that Woody has finally gotten it right (thanks to the consultants that guided the process). Yes, we still have some holes, and no, I don't expect this team to be a serious contender for another 1-3 seasons, but imo there is finally reason for real hope. I definitely don't think we're in "win now" mode as some posters, but I think Mac took steps to make the team more competitive to appease Woody, the fans and the media. Part of me wishes he hadn't traded away draft picks for Fitz and Marshall so we'd have had better draft position the next couple of years to help fill those holes, but having to face Geno again this season would have been dreadful and Mac would have taken a lot of criticism for that. Marshall gives the team a bona fide #1 WR to help the offense and Geno. Of course, if Mac blows the draft, then all bets are off, and I'll probably be where you are, but at least for now I'm optimistic.
