Absolitely. JD let 2 quality tackles leave due to his obsession with Mekhi. Right now if you fielded an OL of Fant, AVT, Moses, Edoga, Van Roten, and Tippman/CMG you would have the best OL in the league. 4 guys we said were trash or replaceable are all thriving elsewhere. JD fielded this team, JD chose this coaching staff.

You forget Max Mitchell who isn't a horrible player.

Lol Edoga? Did you not watch the game against Miami? It's clear JD wasn't the reason for AVT's injury.

it is just so annoying because Seattle is yet again still better than the Jets. So the shotgunning of beers over the Adams trade is tiresome

Max Mitchell has been absolutely awful all year. What games were you watching?

The Cowboys smartly turned Edoga into a guard and he’s a good backup and probably would’ve been a good starting guard for the Jets.
Not to mention we had 3/5 of our penciled in starters play most of the year coming into camp. Becton, Tomlinson and second round center Tippman. The injury excuse is old. We’ve had problems at right guard but we had a penciled in backup right tackle available all year (Mitchell, Carter Warren, etc.).

Edoga has been having an incredible year starting on one of the best OL’s in the league. Laugh all you want, he’s playing better than anyone we’ve had on the line this year.

no he’s not. He’s a backup guard (injury replacement) and he’s really struggled last 2 weeks.

Edoga is actually built like a guard. He physically resembles AVT. Who we keep moving to tackle. And keeps getting injured there.

They also won that Russel Wilson trade big time - that propelled them IMO. Devon Witherspoon is a savage

Edoga has no future on the Cowboys roster, you can ask any Cowboy fan that. Max Mitchell been hurt all season, last year he wasn't that bad. I am still not putting JD as a top 3 reason for this season's failures.

Woody Johnson agrees with you.. That's all that matters.

And if it's a conclusion that Woody has come to, then that's a pretty good sign that it's not a correct conclusion. All you need to do to be a successful NFL owner is to think to yourself: "What would Woody Johnson do?" and then do the exact opposite.

That's not a bad idea when you think of it. Looking at JD and Saleh's stellar w/l record, you can easily see why Woody would want to retain them.

They're there because they are, extremely indirectly, good for the franchise's economics. Rodgers likes them, and Rodgers helps sell a crapload of merchandise and tickets. So Rodgers helped to get a boost on the merch sales for the last year of the old merch. And now he'll help boost the sales of the new merch this offseason, with the new uniforms and logos incoming. That's the only reason that they're still there (and that Rodgers is here). It doesn't have a damn thing to do about football.

Maccagnan drafted Quinnen Williams, AVT was a dumb trade up who could end up being an injury bust, and the 2022 draft plus the Darnold/Adams trades are the only things Douglas has done well. Also Maccagnan was so bad that he isn't in the NFL anymore in any capacity, so Douglas being better than him doesn't mean he's not awful.

Your "man love" for JD is disconcerting.

That fool couldn't find a non-sure-thing draft pick if it came up and slapped him across the mouth. His ENTIRE tenure has been 25% good and 65% bad and 10% downright awful. If I went to your boss and said you were 25% successful you'd be fired on the spot. So would I. There is absolutely NOTHING you can say that changes that. We have the proof sitting right there in the record. I don't give a shit if the guys craps sunshine out his backside, he has FAILED as a GM and that is UNCONTESTED!! Your win/loss record is EXACTLY WHO YOU ARE!!! Go bullshit people who don't have eyes and a modicum of intelligence.

All Douglas being better than Maccagnan means is that he's minimally qualified to be in the NFL. And judging from his performance as GM of the Jets, he's only just qualified. He just lucked out that he got a job running a team so starved for success that even just the slightest hint of competency would have people bending over backwards to say how great he is when, in fact, he's only marginally better (at best) than his predecessor.

And THAT is HIGHLY debatable!! If you believe wins are the ultimate hallmark then there is an argument to be made that he is only marginally worse.

Your ability to comprehend is disconcerting. At no point, did I exhibit "man-love" for JD. It's called looking at every aspect of what the guy did here so far.

Damn we already writing AVT off on his career - this fanbase is something else. I guess JD didn't find players off the street like Reed or JFM either.

Regarding AVT, I said "could end up being," not "is," so I'm not writing him off.
