There is none. We have no voice or representation in government, that is all a mirage. Both sides will fund whatever their corporate sponsors are and the tax payers get shit on. The federal government is too big and corrupt. We need a convention of the states.

Citizens United has made elections more about who has the most money to spend on a candidate and less about what a candidate will do for the middle class. We need a cleansing of both political parties and allow other parties to compete for votes.
A convention of the states would just wind up with several social issues being thrown around as a distraction while the security industrial complex nailed down the votes (from the states they are located in, which is 50) to guarantee that military spending was never cut. Think about it. You need a convention of the counties in each state more that a convention of the states. That might resolve the issue of who benefited from all this spending in a more transparent way,

Agreed. That's why I lean more toward Libertarianism. If a future president tries to cut the military budget by 80 billion they would be crucified for it and called a terrorist sympathizer but if they increase it to directly fund military contractors they are considered patriotic and care about our security. So all we do is continue to increase the size and power of the military while other areas of need for our country suffer, IMO.
60 Minutes last night was a dud. Anderson Cooper asked the right questions and yet the story came across (imo) as no big deal. The guy had sex with this woman and no one gives a shit. The 60 Minute feature on the Milwaukee Bucks' Giannis Antetokounmpo that followed was pretty cool. .
She was a weak candidate who then had the misfortune of an idiot FBI director opening his mouth less than ten days before the election (twice). I think her campaign also was overconfident in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Michigan and failed to campaign effectively there in the months before the election. Usually a 2.86 million vote advantage in the national vote would see the candidate receiving the most votes win the election. In this case the candidate, her foibles and the folly of people who should know better created the historic upset. The difference in the popular vote and the electoral college is pretty astounding. If you wanted to argue that somebody had conducted a covert operation to tilt the election to Trump this kind of discrepancy is what you'd expect to see. It was overkill, as if all the bets that were made simultaneously succeeded.
A shitload of Russian diplomats got banned today. About 60 in the USA and quite a few all over the EU and Canada. One of the biggest banwaves in history and Trump is silent on it. Shouldn't he be tweeting up a storm about it and taking credit? It's like they forced his hand on this and he reluctantly signed off, and now doesn't want to talk about it. Still, no big deal for Putin. So long as you don't touch his money schemes he won't care. He'll just counter-ban a bunch of US and EU diplomats and call it a day. It was worth it for them to try to assassinate Skripal and the daughter, unless they go for his money. Putin and his buddies are not stupid and do not keep their riches in Rubles. It's all invested in overseas companies and banks. These games of banning diplomats back and forth accomplish nothing in the long term, but are fine for the papers in the short term.
