Do you even know what you're talking about? We went into this season with no deep play threat (still don't have one...Coles is not a deep threat!), a new offensive line with two rookies, no running game AT ALL, and a brand new offensive system. The strength of this receiving core is not Pennington's weakness. Cotchery is not a deep threat...he's a tough possession receiver, but he's a playmaker...this is the PERFECT offense for him. And how can you say Pennington doesn't maximize Coles? Why don't you read this...

"In fact yesterday, a day after saying that neither he nor Lions receiver Roy Williams (first in yards, seventh in receptions) were among the best in the NFL, Coles was yet again passing off his success - this time to quarterback Chad Pennington.

"You've seen me without him," Coles said with a big smile. "Last year, I came back and they said I'd lost a step. They said I wasn't the receiver I used to be.

"Suddenly, he comes back and y'all think I am good or something."

Pennington put up 300+ yard games with absolutely ZERO running game to speak of. He completed deep balls like everyone bitches about. He basically won 3 of the first 4 games for us. He has a track record...and you don't ignore that. It says he's not as bad as he's played recently. Big Ben has been far worse this year, you think he's a piece of shit too now? Tom Brady sucked ass at times this season, I guess he's done too. Pennnington is basically a coach on the field and keeps this offense in line. Do you see how many times he has to realign guys because they don't know where to line up? If Clemens is in there, all those times can turn into a bunch of illegal formations and broken plays. This offense would be LOST without Chad...and even though he's sucked at times this season, he's still the leader of that offense and of that team. There is absolutely no denying that...He's not going anywhere.

He went to the Pro Bowl without Chad, as did Santana Moss. Coles is just being supportive as a team player, but in other interviews if you read between the lines its obvious he knows he is being limited. Coles is one of the faster WRs in the league, are you kidding? Moss wasn't a deep threat either with Chad. C'mon man, you're being blinded here, Chad is the problem.

I think a lot of that was blown out of proportion. And even if he was pissed, him and Chad have a great relationship; he's not going to talk shit about him.

Lets just bring in P. Burress, R. Moss, T.O...maybe they would tell us how they truly feel. Whether or not Coles is BSing, he is being a team player, and thats good with me.
