Okay, im a little confused. Im sure this has been covered at some point in this tread, but i dont have enough time to read 90 pages...So basically if Revis doesnt report to camp today, this year doesnt count right? And if theres a lockout next year, that will be two years of not playin. Does he really think hes gonna be at the same level after two years of not playin? Basically i see the Jets having all the power here. If he wants to sit out for the next 5 years, let him. He's just fucking up the rest of his NFL career. No one is gonna pay him shit after not playing for two years....even grandpa Al wouldnt pay him
That's true. However, I don't see it happening. Revis is going to get a new deal eventually, and that would make all this irrelevant.
That's not true. I was a week late on my cell phone bill, and I had to spend a year in Rikers Island for it. I think Revis could potentially be looking at life.

He has 3 years left on his deal, he would still be a FA after those 3 years if he reports after today. All the fines and reporting days for FA are meaningless in this situation.

if KW, Lowery and Cromartie hold the fort down in Revis's absence......Revis may be sitting out longer than one season. If anything, Cromartie may get resigned before Revis because of this.

no, he doesn't owe us another year, he simply loses a year of NFL eligibility that is only relevant to benefits determined by years in the NFL. another year isn't added to his contract with the Jets.

Personally, I would never give up a year in my prime if I wanted to be a Hall of Famer and if I wanted to be a Super Bowl champ. I think we all know who Revis is now, please stop worshipping the greedy slob. Let's move on without him and lockup Mangold who is way more important in my opinion.
