Uh... no. Watch the replays. You will see Howard's hands squarely in the upper chest area, slightly above the numbers - and Williams's back bent backward. Howard used very good leverage on Williams all game long. Hands to the face? WTF is he talking about? As opposed to... the Coples hold. It was so blatant it is not even funny. Things are not even. Bills morons don't know when the refs gift-wrap a few plays for them.
The word crying in thread title should be replace with legititamite (sp) complaint. Come on guys, there is no f'n way Howard manhandled MW without a few cheapshots. But Mario should have fought fire with fire.
You are right. Mario Williams is a god amongst men. There is no way an NFL right tackle could ever shut him down without playing outside of the rules or something. Also, "crying" in the title is appropriate, considering he was crying.
Dude got owned by an undrafted free agent with 1 career start under his belt. How's that $100,000,000.00 contract looking?
"The 2012 Buffalo Bills defensive line will go down as the greatest in NFL history." AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Williams is probably aiming to follow the Albert Haynesworth way of playing - get your mega contract in the bank and sit back and enjoy the ride. How do you motivate a player with $100m in his bank? Glad he's not on our roster! :buffaloblows:
Look, holding happens on every play in every game. If it were called every time, you'd need a calendar instead of a clock to time a game. What we're getting at here is the whining to the media about replacement officials instead of just sucking it up and moving on to the next game. MW will meet AH again in the last game of the season. He'll have his opportunity then, assuming the regular refs are back and Howard is playing to prove his point. What this sounds like to us is excuse making and its classless. I would have given MW more credit than that.
Note: if an undrafted free agent was hitting Williams in the face all game and he just lied down and took it like a bitch, then that makes the $100 million man look even worse than he already did.
