They don't get much classier than him... NFL is a business so I get why the Jets are doing this, however he will be missed and I wish him nothing but the best. Will always root for him (as long as he's not vs the Jets)...

    THANK YOU COTCH :)

Today is a sad day for Jet fans, Jerricho was class on and off the field. He always gave effort, never complained. I wish him the best but please don't go to another AFC East team.

I don't get this "it's a business" shit - Cotchery was as clutch as clutch could be - I don't care what the numbers say, what the age difference is, what the injury situation is - Cotchery is the kind of player you win with. I can't believe we're letting him go.

I don't disagree with the FO too often, but I definitely disagree with this...
Cotch was a class act all the way.

I can see NE taking a look at him.

Above all else, I want a New York Jet to be a champion. Apparently you don't if he's "everything".

This is a tough day... It may be for the betterment of the team in the future but it sure is a tough pill to swallow considering the toughness and loyalty that Jerricho has given us over the years.

    Always in Green JCo.

Maybe he can take Ocho's or Marshall's spot, seems people think he is that good.

Who thinks that? Maybe you should pass along the title to them of the "Least knowledgeable person".

Wouldn't be surprised if he ended up in San Diego.

Loved Cotch and all he did for the team. I hope he recovers from his back injury and really comes back strong.

I guess you didn't catch the sarcasm in that. The point was that who cares if he goes to Miami or NE, his impact will be minimal at best.

Feel sick over this. Replacing a 29yr old with a 37yr old?? Couldn't they have released him and re signed him ala brunell?
