watched the game at a friend's house straight through. 13 innings.

told him when I saw Hoffman that Hoffman's gonna blow it. He did.

For the third straight day my Wily Taveras Rockies t-shirt comes through. I knew I was saving the shirt for something. Money. Just like Hoffman gagging in big games.

I'll need the shirt more than ever against the Phillies. Only legit starter is Francis. Maybe Jimenez.

Fogg is TERRIBLE. I saw him in one of the games I watched at Coors in August. I was screaming at him until they pulled him. Awful, awful pitcher.

he's a little like Armando. The difference is, Armando's definition of a big game is a little broader than Hoffman's.

Definitely. Lost in all the arguement over the bad call in the end was the Hoffman totally sucked and was probably going to blow that lead one way or another.

not sure if I agreed with Holliday breaking for the plate on the shallow ball and not sure if he actually got his hand in there or not.

watching Trevor Hoffman makes you appreciate Mariano more.

Giles has a TERRIBLE arm and lollipopped that throw which was the reason he wasn't out by 60 feet. For how shallow that ball was hit he really had no business trying to tag. Got incredibly lucky.

    agreed. Matt Holliday=NL MVP anyway.

Comes up big in big spots. NL batting champ, NL RBI champ. Carried his team at times.

I honestly couldn't tell. To me, from some angles it looked like it may have gone over, others I thought it definitely hit the line.

Just a comment, with all the hullabalu about the m
Mets collapse, the Padres suffered an equally embaressing one: they were up 5 games on the Rockies with 10 to go

I take it you don't like not having a playoff in college football....

BTW to Mack - Isn't hitting the line a HR anyway?

That was a hell of a chance to take with nobody out, but he got home. Good, I hate the Padres and Hoffman, couldn't happen to a better group of guys.

As a great man once said---"Go fuck yourselves, San Diego."

What a game last night eh'? I'm glad the Rockies won, they deserved it.

It just goes to show that Hoffman still has never had a big save in his career.

How awesome would it have been if the Mets won on Sunday and there is another play-in game tonight, and tomorrow. Ugh

I saw two things out of both of those teams last night that I didn't see out of the Mets.

Clutch hitting and good pitching out of the bullpen. Somebody had to lose and it was gonna be somebody's bullpen blowing it. It turns out the Rocks hit Hoffman.

Something lost in the mix was now I know it worked but did anybody think Hurdle went to the defensive replacements way to soon. I though taking Atkins out would come back to bite them in the ass but it was his replacement with the game winning hit.

BTW I'm glad Heath Bell was great just to stick it up Omar's ass. The way Jorge Julio looked made me wonder why they got rid of him. He pitched like he belonged in the Mets bullpen.

1-0 Rockies! I was pulling for the Pads in the tie break game, but consider me Rockie fan #1 this series.

the rockies are now 4-0 when I wear that rockies t-shirt. It's so grimy now, though, that I'm sending it to be washed

Rockies are a good team and now they proved they can win away from Coors field (at least one game). They could be a force.
