If that game last night didn't enrage you, then you just don't have that much invested in this team. Let the real fans vent.
Sanchez plays much better when the run is established, and he can go play action. Offensive game plan was pathetic. I did not see ground and pound at all. Lets face it Sanchez will not win many games on his own. I am tired, and disgusted this morning.
Actually its 2 games. But I will agree with your playoff comments. Maybe this tough lost will be a learning experience. Because there's tons of things Jets need to fix.
It's been the same for 3 seasons. The Jets beat nobody during the regular season and then take off. I don't see this happening this year though.
packers are front running team reliant on their offense to score first. that bent don't break defense bullshit won't hold up in the playoffs
I don't understand the people who are criticizing us Jet fans who are livid about last night. That was a big loss. They went from having control of the division, with an easy schedule down the stretch to basically losing the division and best case scenario being a Wild Card. That's a big deal. On top of that, the QB has regressed and is a major reason they lost, the OL is inconsistent, the Defense is overrated (what comes out of the last two wins is that neither SD or the Bills are that good), the blocking TE (Mulligan) can't block, the safety (Eric Smith) can't cover and the DL, other then a play or two, don't get to the QB.
trust me I was livid as well. I just hate it when fans bury the team before the season's even done. to me the NFL is a league of parity. if we make it to the playoffs, which I still think we will, then the pressure will be on Pats again to defend their homecourt, which they haven't done.
I agree with that. I mean, I still think they'll make the playoffs and other then Green Bay, no one really is that good. No disputing that here.
Best posts in this thread. It's fucking disappointing as shit and angering. On so many fucking levels. The team looked bad, and couldn't take advantage of a shitty secondary that lost it's only moderately ok player early in the game. I'm at a loss as to why.
I was taking a look at the thread title again. I was not aware the SOJ fans were in the same mold as Chicken Little. That is a disservice to animated chickens everywhere.
Agreed. Here is the reality - 2 division losses, 4 conference losses. Would have to go 5-2 the rest of the way to get to 10 wins, and Im not sure that that would guarantee them a playoff spot. Not impossible, but really, after the last 2 years, and all the big talk and guarantees, did we really expect to once again be fighting just to get into the playoffs? The division was right here, served up on a plate, once again the big talk proved to be just that. If you weren't disappointed by yesterday's performance, than you are the most uncritical fan there could be.
It's frustrating, and something we're not used to being frustrated about. We should be fighting for a #1 or #2 seed. Hell, this is the second time in a row that we failed to take control of the conference, both at the hands of the Patriots.
It's probably just my paranoia as a fan, but when NBC cut to LT and his pregame "speech" it just didnt seem to have the same level of conviction you would expect for the size of a game like last nights. Take what you may out of it
SOJ wouldn't make the playoffs and while I don't think we win the division we will get a wildcard. Schedule is not too hard after this and it starts with the butt raping of Tebow. Anything can happen in the playoffs and while it sucks to be on the road all the time look at the Packers.
tough morning after a disappointing evening. this denver game has now escalated even higher in importance than it already was at.
Ding Ding Ding!!!! It seems like they won't stick with what works. You will see Greene or LT have a succesful run or two in a row, then come back with 3 straight pass plays that sputter into a punt formation. The Jets have an identity, but can't figure it out. It seems one week we get and the next week we try to recreate the wheel. The SOJ was not like this, they found a way to string together some greatness, and then crap in our laps just long enough to dash all hope. This team can't even string together crappy games, let alone great ones.
Sanchez was forced to hold the ball too long because your mighty Pats dropped 7 back in coverage. Our O line sucked, true, but those were mostly coverage sacks. If we both only lose 1 more game, we will be 11-5. Are you trying to say that will leave us on the outside looking in ? Son, you don't know what the fuck you are talking about. I'm glad everything is sunny again in Patsie world. Now go back to your delusion. Your team is no more a threat to win the SB than ours is. Front-running troll.
