JMHO, but all of a sudden people are jumping on the Chad bandwagon after reading these rediculous posts all summer long how washed up he was? Those hypocrites bashing him will be waiting just on the fence if/when Chad falters, no doubt.
No, we all were pulling for him. Some of us are a lil' more private with their hope. But it was there.
Doubt...Doubt...Doubt Pennington knew that he was being doubted. The jig's up for the season. Eventually, he'll be in the middle of a game, sacked a couple times, blaming the defensive line to himself, and just not care anymore. Do you really think Chad won't become distracted and choke?????
Chad proved himself today, im very impressed, his long ball hasnt looked that good in a long time. bravo chad.
I will wear my #10 jersey proudly next week. Here's to Rain Man (Mr NY Jet) Vick Blows, NYJUNC, and CMAN and all the others who drowned this board all summer with Pennington venom. Here's to all those who said that the league had figured Pennington out and all you need to do is pressure him. Well, today he stood up against pressure and blitzes with no running game and not only threw for the most yards in his career, but led the Jets to the winning score with 2 minutes to go when the momentum had entirely shifted on the road. I realize that this is only one game, but some people on this board need to admit that they were very very wrong.
This was Pennington's best game for the following reasons: 1) He did it with no running game at all. In 2002, the Jets had a running game against GB and Indy 2) He did it with 4 new players on the OL. The only veteran in the game after the first quarter was Moore, and he stunk. This so-called formula for beating Pennington - blitz and he folds - didn't work. He stood in the pocket under pressure and made great throw after great throw - short and long. 3) He was the reason the Jets won today. The whole team played well against GB and Indy. Nugent stunk today and the defense let down in the 4the quarter. 4) He led the Jets on a winning drive late in the game and completed two huge passes - the 37 yarder to Coles and the TD to Baker. The GB and Indy games were over by halftime. 5) This was his first 300 yard game I propose that anyone who calls Pennington "noodle arm" or an egg be banned for a week.
 Here's to Chad! He played great today. I can't think of anything wrong that he really did, other than that fumble near the goal line in the 4th qtr. Chad was throwing the ball deep, and connecting with guys like Coles and Cotchery. And not to mention hitting I think Cotchery in the corner of the endzone twice. Chad looked great today, I hope he keeps it up
I've been very skeptical about Pennington's ability to return from his injuries, so I have to give him some serious props for his performance today. Magnificent effort all around. On the other hand the Titans defense aren't exactly worldbeaters, but I don't want to detract from his outing. 300 yards is 300 yards and a win is a win, any way you slice it.
