I thought I was quite optimistic despite how bad we have been playing. :)

I really like our chances against the Browns. They are not playing well at all and our offense should be able to light them up. With Washington and Barlow starting to click I like the way our offense is looking. Although we will give up a TD or 2 I think Cleveland I definitly think they are a worse offensive team than Detroit.

I think the browns could definitely beat us this week but I never thought romeo would be a good NFL HC. i always felt there was a reason the guy was a coach for 25 years in the league and never eevn had a sniff of a HC job- some guys are meant to be assistants.

That 2004 team was not a bad team, they just had an easy schedule. They still beat other solid teams like the Seahawks and Chargers and they had the 15-1 Steelers reeling. If this franchise had any luck, or a coach at the time that actually played to win instead of not to lose, the Jets would have been in the conference championship.

Maybe now that we have a winning record it will give are players some hope and that were not just playing for the top ten pick this year.

This game does worry me more than the other 2 because it's on the road and all the brown's losses are to quality teams. But the jets should win it.

Buttle, I see eye to eye with you on this. In the nfl if you wait long enough another team will beat itself most of the time. We are winning because we are not beating ourselves. Despite the fact that we have one of the worst defenses I have ever seen.

The offense seems to be getting better but I still think they would struggle to move the ball on the ground against any decent defense.

This team is all about Pennington playing great, not turning the ball over, trying to avoid giving up big plays, mangini coaching his mind off and the benefit of a schedule that that has them only playing probably 5 games against playoff teams.

Hopefully next year they can have another solid draft and find some free agents that fit what they are looking to do.

Yes, he is. Sutton's been with the team since 2000 when Parcells was in the front office.

Sounds like a good bet, the Jets 1.5 underdogs? Their O will eat the Browns D alive especially with all the Browns injuries in the secondary...this should be a W......no excuses

They were the best franchise in pro football from 1946 until the Lombardi Packers in the 1960s. (Browns played in the rival AAFC from 1946-49 before being part of a merger with the NFL.)

The Browns were good throughout the 1960s. They experienced some problems for the first time in the 1970s- the fourth decade in team history.

They played in multiple championship games in the 1980s.

They had a quality season in 1994 and then the owner moved the team to Baltimore following the 1995 season.

A new Cleveland Browns team began play in 1999 and outside of one season it has been bad.

This is one of the top teams in league history.

This thread shouldn't exist. The Browns suck. Period. I don't care where the game is being played, the 4-3 New York Jets will rape the 1-5 Cleveland Browns like R. Kelly on a 12 year old.

I think we're going to get trapped and lose this week.

    I'll say...
Starting with the first meeting the first MNF game in 1970 when the Browns upset Joe Willie and the Jets 31-21. Things weren't the same with the Jets for the next 10 years...

1978 - Jets need to win to get to the playoffs and comes back from a 17 point fourth quarter deficit to take the lead with 1:18 to play. Browns come back to win in OT

1983 - Browns lead 7-0 for the whole game, Jets come back to tie late but leave enough time for Browns to kick GW field goal at the gun

1986 - Divisional playoff 23-20 double overtime loss Jets blow 10 point lead with two minutes left..need I say more

Even the 2004 game was kind of strange but at least they squeaked out a victory...

2002 -- jets lead up until, on a two point conversion, couch from his back throws the ball straight up into the air about 100 ft and in lands in the hands of northrup with everyone watching in disbelief
