being mathematically still alive according to pie in the sky scenarios on december 1st should not be the goal... or any kind of accomplishment This year every AFC team had a "chance" in Dec outside of the Jets, Raiders and Titans who you could count their wins on 1 hand.. some accomplishment. 2012's team was NEVER in the hunt, 2013's team played some of the worst november football in franchise history and weren't really in the hunt in december at all.
we were very much in each race as the calendar turned to December. it's not a goal but w/ what he had to work with it was miraculous.
Look the Jets are going back to the same Seattle well interviewing guys working under Schneider who were in the same front office with Idzik. If he was so bad why interview them because Schneider recommended all of them. I don't think Schneider would recently have said that Idzik needed more than 2 years to implement his plan plus he should be able to work with his own HC if he didn't mean it. His own reputation is at stake. The majority of Jets fans wanted Idzik out because they are looking for instant gratification. After 50 years and no SB they want it now (stupid). IMO if Marrone didn't want that trade up to get Watkins it was only because he knew your OL needed a rebuild. And step one in building an offense is not a star Qb or a glitzy Wr (which is what the Jets fans want too). It's the O-line something Marrone knows a lot about. Als0 didn't your O have injuries to both running backs (2 of your best players). If you hate Idzik ok. I thought he needed at least one more year. He in two years cleared cap space after the disastrous Tannenbaum contracts to Sanchez and Holmes. A considerable feat. But the fans wanted him to spend the entire cap the first year when star Jets players contracts were coming due the following year (Harris, Wilk, etc). As for Mehta he accused Idzik of sabotaging the team so he could get Rex fired. And other slanderous remarks. The guy is an asshole.
They're best friends. I have pretended to own a business and be a reference for my buddy when he was applying for a job. You tell me. It's not like you guys have a good record of hiring coaches or GM's. It's bad one after bad one after bad one. Same with the Bills. Thats why I don't give them the benefit of the doubt. You have battered wives syndrome though. They prove to you they aren't worthy to be trusted, yet you keep trusting them. It's unreal. Our offensive line had 4 of the 5 same guys who produced a top 5 unit the league. Marrone ruined them. LT - Same LG - Same C - Same RG - Same RT - Different Chan produced a top 5 offensive line with that same group that Marrone producted a bottom 10 group. That's not opinion. Those are FACTS. You are worse than Mehta. You are slandering Mehta by saying his sources are made up. For all we know, he could be 100% correct. You dont want to believe it so you discount it.
how many wins did Chan produce? I agree he did a poor job with the O but you had awful QB play and key injuries to those good backs. it's not as black and white as it appears.
That's a laugher. I'm worse than Mehta and I'm slandering him. Him making up sources -you bet your ass. I have no doubt that there are plenty of Jets fans on this board who hate my guts. But I doubt they think I'm worse than Mehta. That's the ultimate low.
The common ground for every Jets fan is we want a Coach/GM who can not only get the Jets in the right direction, but create stability and Super Bowl Championships. Much easier said than done, but it is the goal. So I respect those who feel Marrone, Quinn, Reich, etc won't accomplish that, but someone needs to be given the opportunity. Whoever it is, I hope the stars align and things finally go right for the Jets.
You have no idea what Manish Mehta is about so you should really just stfu on that subject. As Jets fans we've witnessed the guy troll the Jets for years with anonymous sources that no one else seems to have. Not that you're really worth listening to anyway.
No one is defending Chan. What is being said is how sad is it that a former O-linemen and O Coach can have the same line Chan had and do the complete opposite of effectiveness?
Proof that he made up sources or youre just as bad as he is. Simple as that. I've watched your posting as well. You're just like PCLFAN - if its against the Jets, it MUST be wrong. Blah blah blah.
it wasn't the same team though. QBs were worse, RBs were hurt, Johnson wasn't the same in '134 and you relied on a rookie as your top wideout in '14.
I just think Marronne would be a real risk of a higher. He did an ok job at Syracuse. Went to the Bills and went 4-12 and then 9-7. I dont care so much about the records but I didnt see the development of players on his side of the football that would make me feel optimistic about him. Granted he was only there for 2 years but still, I think he's a risk. The guy I want is Kubiak. I look at him as more of the offensive version of Rex. I'd even take Quinn over him even though I dont want another defensive guy. Something about this guy really scares me.
Orton is awful, I don't love Fitz but I'd take him over Orton. Sammy will be much better but Stevie was damn good for a few years.
Nah man. He speaks truth. Manish is a terrible reporter. Just awful. That's not biased Jets shit, Cimini talks shit on the Jets all the time but I think he is at least educated and always quotes his sources.. If you are a reporter with unlimited unanimous sources just to stir the shit, you are a shitty reporter and your word becomes belittled by the masses for it. You should calm your stance on him because you are wrong. Stick to the things you do know about before trying to stick it to people about things you don't know. I actually have liked a lot of your posts my man but your wrong on this topic.
Not sure what makes you think that.. Fitz '12: 60% for 213 yards, 1.5 TD, 1 INT per game ... 6-10 record Orton '14: 64% for 251 yards, 1.5 TD, 0.8 INT per game ... 7-5 record Stevie was great for a while. 2010 he was unstoppable. Even Revis had some trouble with him. but Sammy 14 was better than Stevie 12. No doubt.
