It was the Dolphins, same difference. Both teams are steaming piles of shit, just like us in our current state.

We have to ask stokes, i think he is a Cuse alumni. I have no clue about DM, I'm just going to sit back and see where the chips fall.

Too many stories in the media, I can't be bothered with speculation.

You should inherit the least knowledgeable poster award. I insist.

I would rather see Hobbes and Wolf as consultants, this Casserly guy just doesn't do it for me, he just strikes me as a guy who's ego is bigger than his ability.

I don't trust him at all.

No offense but why should we care if you trust him or he "just doesn't do it for you", whatever that means? The guy has worked in NFL front offices including a 10 year stint as the GM of the Redskins during which they won a superbowl. He is obviously very experienced/knowledgeable with these type of things and has all kinds of connections.

    So I'm a Bills troll. A team I despise.
Fine. Call me what you like.
I just hope and pray we don't hire Marrone.
Because we will all regret it.

Don't worry about it man. You know what you are talking about, I've seen about every post you've made. This is what certain fans do when they don't have a solid argument and don't research things, they argue based on emotion instead of intelligence. It is annoying, you just gotta look past it.

Well like I said, Marrone doesnt thrill me but he is not a known turd. He is highly regarded, known as extremely bright and had the pathetic Bills going in the right direction.

I would be happy if I was a bills troll.
    I'm not - a troll or happy.

I don't get the hype, the only thing he seems to be the gold-standard for is mediocrity. I'd rather give someone a shot to be great than sign up for a guy you can bank on being average at best.

That was a long time ago when teams were built differently, look at the job he did with the Texans, that's why he does not do it for me, the team stunk with him as their GM. If he was that good he would have been able to duplicate his success from the Redskins.

It's the whole body of work.

I don't take offense, it's a forum, no one here is taken seriously.

Every single Bills media member that I've read seems like a scorned ex. Look at Brent Axe. He's practically crying over it. Small town media seems as if they are too emotionally involved in the team, the opposite of our media honestly.

Marrone did wonders at Syracuse who was coming off the dynamic Greg Robinson era. I don't think he's guaranteed to succeed if he were to come here, but I hope we don't get Nate Hackett.

The answer to your question is two-part:

    1. He was the head coach at Syracuse and 80% of sports journalists in the New York metropolitan area are Syracuse journalism grads, and

    2. He's part of two gigantic NFL coaching trees (Parcells and Schottenheimer) and in the NFL, you can fail upwards as long as you know a lot of people.

I accept the award. Btw the foot fetish fiasco was one of many embarrassing incidents coming from the "I've gotta be me" guy. He should have been fired for it. Do you know how seedy that is. It went to the lower levels of the Internet. These people are fetish freaks. Not much kinkier than that. And didn't he take the pictures. So guys could get off looking at his wife's feet. Just being "myself." He fucken embarrassed the entire league and the team.
