Please not Reich. Please. I'll take either of the other two.

If this is true -- Then it should be a slam dunk for Marrone.

I want no part of BK -- the guy has never even sniffed the inside of an NFL locker room in any capacity or level.
And the Jets do not need another guy learning how to be a head coach on the job.

I think both NFL experience and Head Coach experience (any level) need to both be priorities.

    Notabillsfan.
But I do know lots of them.
    They are not butthurt.
    They are deliriously happy.
My concern is for the JETS, and a Marrone hiring is a recipe for disaster.

Of course you would think Bills fans would want us to sign a shitty coach in the same way I would love it if they sign Rex. My question to them: who was responsible for them drafting EJ Manuel? Was Morrone on board with that or did he want Nassib. And was this a possible cause and reason that him and Whaley don't get along.

Doug Marrone looks like one of those sad sacks the Jets would hire years ago, in the 80s and 90s....like Rich Kotite, Bruce Coslet, Joe Walton, etc.....looks like a SOJ coach! Please hire someone else, anyone else!

    You got it.
Nix and Whaley drafted that D.
Pettine and Schwartz coached it up.
Marrone and Hackett managed the offence, which was way worse than it should have been.

Do you think I care what Bills players think of him? Jets players are pissed Rex is gone yet they played like they just started to play football.

The Bills were a QB away from being a scary team for the first time in forever. Like I've said I'm not all that thrilled about Marrone but he is clearly not a terrible coach. All accounts are he is extremely bright, Payton thought enough of him to make him his OC, all reports were Bills did not want to lose him. We can do a lot worse than Marrone, which we have done many times.

Ok. Morrone also has lined up interviews with the Bears and with Atlanta. It's not the end of the world to not get Morrone. If the Bears sign him then ok. Who knows maybe Quinn is another Parcells. But to me you jump Morrone to the top of the line.

The scuttlebutt in Blo is that Nix and Whaley were largely responsible for the Manuel pick but the Marrone was onside with it. Obviously he was consulted and signed.
Marrone sat Manuel after 4 games. It was the right thing to do, tho many of my billsfreinds disagree.
There will always likely be friction between DM and any self respecting GM. Marrone pretty much wants complete control. Coming to us in that sense works (for him at least) because he will have a direct and solid reporting line and access to Woody.
    That's what he wants.
I don't think even NY is big enuf to accommodate his collosal ego.
Personally I wouldn't mind that assuming he could back it up.
He can't IMO. All swagger. No substance.

The thing is one of the most important things for a head coach is to get the right people/coaches to work with him.
Especially on the side of the ball that is not there expertise. So bringing in Pettine and Schwartz are actually arguments as to why he is a good HC.
Unlike Rex who brought in Tony Sparano.
